Still up in the air. I'm expecting these discussions to be long and protracted.

It probably is just to drum up publicity, then when the original actors sign back on, everyone will be relieved and it'll gain an even bigger audience.

That makes sense. Stirring up the pot always works. Look at what happened with Jon and Kate.

I just hope that the quality will be good. Until then, I'm going to keep working on getting Into the Wild Green Yonder.

I really hope the original voice actors can maby accept a smaller pay check to stay on the show or even have the same amount of money comming in. If they really want a job they would accept what job they can get.

I'm so glad that they are all going to be back for the new season. It looks like they were just trying to create some controversy for the show to maby build up some hype, or make more people realize that the show was comming back. Since alot of people probaly did not know about it returning.

As I thought, the original cast would return but it was still a pathetic move/stunt (if that was what the main intention) of FOX to consider a recast for the show, most especially when it never happened to The Simpsons. Ah well, as long as the original cast are back, that's all that matters.

Sorry Coop. :P

The only thing I'm slightly worried about is that there are now less writers to make the quality episodes. I'd love to see what they can come up with in order to give us another successful season of my favourite cartoon series.

Well, it's the quantity of the staff that was cut, and we aren't sure how that would affect the quality just yet. They could have just been trimming the excess of the staff, the writers that they didn't need as they didn't do much for the show. So even though it's smaller, it could be just as good. I guess we'll see when it comes back.

Or alternatively, they're all on DVD, like I've got. When I get back home from the meet, I'll be reclaiming my Bender's Game dvd and embarking upon a Futurama movie marathon.

Gotta love the weeks off.

As do i, i have all four seasons and the four movie's that are just a small part of my dvd collection which also includes seasons 1-11 of the simpsons and the movie. I watch them every once in a while, but i don't have the time to sit and watch all four of them. At a hour and a half each thats a whole afternoon.

Hey, same here, except I stopped buying Simpsons DVDs at Season 10 since all the seasons until about 17 are just miserable.

Two of my DVDs are scratched and glitch out half way through certain episodes so now I have to buy an entire season just to have a working episode. :(

But I was planning on buying the Futurama Ultimate Collection box set when it comes out in October anyway. Is anyone else getting that?

I'm pretty sure that's a re-release of a previous Ultimate Collection. Looks the same and all.

If you have most of them already, there's not much point in getting it. I'd only recommend it to those who have yet to get any Futurama DVDs but want everything. I see no point in obtaining the Ultimate Collection when I have all four seasons and all four movies on DVD already. Also, if this is the "Ultimate collection", then what will happen when they release season 6 on DVD? :P

That was the Region 2 DVD set. This is Region 1.

Give him time - I'm not sure that he fully understands just who Billy West, John DiMaggio and Katey Segal supply voices for. Since West was the major stumbling block to get the contracts agreed (if you believe the media hype), he might be forgiven for thinking that losing Fry is no major loss.

However, as we all know, Fry, Professor, Zoidberg, Zapp, Nixon, amongst others are a large part of his repertoire. Losing this talented actor would make the production of future episodes more difficult. Judging by the situation that surrounded the production team at the time of Phil Hartman's tragic death, this would not be insurmountable, but in layman's terms, it would be one heck of a ball-ache.
