Nice job on the painting but the lighthouse seems a bit squeezed.
Also, when you take pic's of your art could you crop them a little closer in photoshop? (see white part on flower paining)

That first pieces is the best piece of art i've seen in the art-section here on NG, kudos for sharing , and for doing something different ; )

Oh, and don't get discouraged or anything... People only write "wow, that rocks, its awesome pwnage" if
its crappy ms paint art with some filter raping over it ; )

This is nice. Traditional work in NG. Don't really know how to judge this kind of art, so I'll just say the first one looks very tranquil and I like it, but I suggest that you could try using a darker green under the flowers and between the leaves for the shadows, to make the flowers 'pop' out a bit more. Of course, if you used a reference pic or if this is your style, go ahead and ignore my suggestion :D The lighthouse is also nicely drawn.

and also, painting the whole canvas one background color initially might help leave out clear spots on the canvas for a fuller looking painting
