when creak my stick man(im new) and then i create a new key frame and edit it, the changes happen to both the original and the new one. how do i prevent this from happening?

I think you're probably adding a FRAME by itself. To add a KEYFRAME, you must press F6 to make a copy of the previous frame which you can edit without changing the previous one, or F7 to add a blank keyframe that you can edit without chaning the previous one. FRAMES, however, are jsut an extension of a KEYFRAME. the first frame of your movie is KEYFRAME, so if you press F5 to add FRAME, you're just enlarging an editable frame.

i know what a keyframe is im sayin that i will create a keyframe, then i hit f6 a few frames later and try to edit the keyframe such as my stickman movin his arm, well it let me move his arm but it change the frame i am on and my original one and i don't want it to do that

Are you on "Edit Multiple Frames" mode? It's right by onion skin.

nope i just opened a new flash document, i make a stick man, then i go down to about frame 5 and hit f6, this creates my new keyframe, then i edit it, but my keyframe back on keyframe 1 gets edited to, its gettin frustrating
