I have recently. There's no real words to describe it, it's just weird knowing that you once saw him walking around being happy as always and next he dies trying to rescue his mate : /.
You can read more about it here www.asparis.org (my schools homepage), we're gonna miss you parker.
So back to thread, have anyone had a mate of yours die on you? if so how?

Well, I'm going to have to give away my cat soon, so I'll miss it I suppose.

The closest I have had anyone die to me is a Instructor at a Kids camp I often went to. He was basically a really friendly and lively guy and got on with everyone, and once he died, the club still continued but it had basically lost it's flare and heart.
I'm lucky no family (grandparents are already ded :| ) or friend has died. I really feel sorry for those who have to cope with personal death, even though I have never felt it.
I hardly ever come here anymore....

I've moved since then. I'm originally from Denmark and I've lived in UK for 5 years. Exactly one year ago I had to move to Paris where I now attend ASP (american school of paris), and it is also where I met Parker.

One of my sister's girlfriends, who was a good mate, died in a car accident... I miss him, and according to her she was perfect.

Not exactly a friend, but i've had a bowler in our youth team kill herself. How i won't forget the day our coach brought the sad news. But i can't even remember her name.

Nope. I doubt any will die before I start hating them.
This too will pass.

Assuming you meant hope, you can't go through life and expect no one to die. Time doesn't stop during your life. Death happens. You have to try to deal with it.
There is a war going on in you're mind. People and ideas all competing for you're thoughts. And if you're thinking, you're winning.

Sounds like something you'd see in a cartoon. You know, like when Homer kept falling down Springfield Gorge.

Yeah except this was real life and he ended up dying because of it.

My best friend in grade 7, killed himself hung from his closet with a belt.
He was a really good kid, and i still miss him a hell of alot, even today, 5 years later.
But im not sad anymore, as i see him all the time, i sense his presence, and see him in dreams.
Something tells me hes still with me.

Christ you've travelled around.
A couple have kicked the bucket and I show almost no emotion about it because most of them would laugh if they ever caught me mourning about them if they were alive. They were all very shallow. Good pals they were.

Not sure if that was sarcastic or not but just incase I'll just give you the areas I've lived in order. Denmark>prague>new york>france>england>france.

I'll just copy paste what my school told us.
A group of fellow freshmen students were swimming in a familiar local river, when Parker's friend was suddenly caught in a hidden and rapidly churning undercurrent beneath a bridge. Parker's instinctive reaction was to dive in after his friend to free him from the undertow. The two of them were trapped, until Parker's friend broke loose, while Parker remained pinned underwater. Many minutes later his body washed out, then floated further downriver and fell over a waterfall marked by jagged lava rock. He was dragged to shore unconscious, not breathing, and badly pummeled. Friends performed CPR for 30 minutes, until paramedics arrived and managed to establish a faint heartbeat, then evacuated him by helicopter to the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. His doctors worked through the night, but he could only be sustained by lifesupport and never regained brain activity, his body having been deprived of oxygen for too long.

Nope, for once I'm being serous. Probably because I've only lived in two places in my whole life, one's England the other's Scotland. Saves on plane fairs.
