Why not make a save gain percentage next to the top 10/20/30 gainers? If it stays higher than, say, 90 or 80%, you won't be added to the top gainers list.

Not that I'm in this list, but that would kind of solve all the fuss.

Maybe even that if you gain more than 90% saves over three weeks, you will be disqualified from the list. Though that seems a bit drastic.

How about if you consistently get above 85-90%? Some people will get there every now and again, because of a slow week for Blams. In this climate, it's possible.

And as regards DoctorStrongbad's constant whining that everyone is against him, I'm still waiting on a reply to my PM, regarding his perception that I called him a cunt. Yeah, I'd like to just throw out there that he's happy enough to run off to my moderator colleagues, demanding that they do something about my maverick attitude (ROFL), but he's still too scared to get into a discussion with me, possibly because I'll use words of greater than three syllables and this will confuse him.

I hate to put it this way but it figures that the one person who opposes this idea happens to be the top pacer most of the time. The top pacers was only a minor aspect of the list and I only included it to make up for removing the 75+/day section. The rest of the list will remain as it is.

That could be a fun experiment.

As for the ideas to filter out users from showing up on the top pacers if they gain a certain amount of saves, that one will be tricky since something like Clock Day or Madness Day may find no users entering the list because of the excessive amount of saves they earned on one particular day. I'm more fond of the idea for top blammers on a weekly basis, even though Coop's blam updates should be the place to see users' progression for blamming.

While I love to hear from Bahamut, I would gladly give up 6 weeks of this list just to see what happens - and who really appreciates his work. For those users who are addicted to seeing their names over and over again in the list, well, they'll just have to go through withdrawal.

It's funny, when I made that April Fools joke earlier this year, I had considered taking a month break afterwards to see how things went. There will definitely be a break at the end of the year due to Christmas Day falling on a Sunday and if any of you demand a list update on Christmas Day out of everything else, I can only say "FUCK YOU!" The following Sunday is the new year and while I'd love to have a fresh list to start off the new year, I should probably take it easy on myself and save it for the following Sunday. I can imagine myself having some sort of hangover after all the havoc that will happen when partying for 2012.

Heh, at least it's not ShittyKitty's NG Total Listings. Now those were monstrous stats lists. He covered all users for all stat aspects making a minimum requirement for all of them. I believe you only needed 100 EXP or so just to get on the EXP listings. These days, it would be far too much to handle.

I would like to change things around for the B/P update at some point. However, I'm wanting to wait until the redesign is finally up and running. What I'm thinking of doing is switching gears for the B/P update and posting the updates on my site where the EXP and 10k lists are also posted. However, if that's the case, I will need to cut back on archiving. I know the idea for web-based updates for B/P wasn't approved by the majority last year but considering the higher requirements to enter the top 300 and how many Sup. Commander users we have now, I feel it's necessary sooner or later.

No idea how often it happens to you all but do you all ever see the score RISE when you give a submission a 0? Just wondering as I gave a submission a zero this morning (cookie cutter game by the way) and the score went from 3.09 to 3.14. That just didn't make any sense and it didn't happen on any others I voted on this morning. Maybe someone was blind voting it up while I was voting it down?

Perhaps in the meantime, someone else voted it up, thus giving it a higher score than 3.14, which your 0 vote lowered it to. Since you were bringing it up from the advertised score when the page loaded, the system will record it as the score rising.

Fresh submissions do that from time to time.

Only 30,000 Points? When I started up, it was a very daunting prospect to reach 30k. Sure, I'm raking in over 12,500 points per year, it would take me just under two and a half years to reach EGSC on my overall average pace.

Nowadays, with a less active portal, you'd need to get almost every vote "correct", in order to generate a point each time, to put that kind of sustained pace up, to get in under there, while in 2007, users who had been about for just 2 years were jumping up past 30k with ease.

I don't know about you guys, but I got a feeling that lately it has especially been bad. I have trouble forking in more than 20 per day nowadays.

I can get in about 20 on a normal day sadly. Not as much as I use to get but it gets me up there slowly but surely.

Looking at yesterdays portal statistics I suppose it can't just be me; Only 70 entries submitted. I remember back in the day this counter went over 200 on a daily basis.

I remember when I first came on most days there was about 150+ a day being submitted except on Holidays where more than 500+ would be submitted on those days. Now we are lucky to break over 75 a day. Sure hope those university students submit stuff again in the future, easily enjoyable content. I think maybe one reason people are here less often is possibly those stupid cookie cutters. I remember GameGrow got an alt recently and then had it's content removed for either being stolen or an alt. Wasn't too sure which one it was myself. It was probably an alt though since they would submit their crap at the same exact time! That's pretty low too.

Maybe it's some kind of "in between summer and Christmas" recession, but I can't remember there was this little activity in former years.

School, college, people possibly finding less time to be on the internet too.

Alright, let's try out the updates without the top pacers list. After this, I'm going back to Skyrim.

47.46 per day required, to get this done before the turn of the year. On the plus side, I'm within 2,000 points and the next goal is to drop a figure off my target. I want to be4 a lot closer to 300 points per week.

Still, that said, if Wade was good enough to plough through the outstanding shitty flash that have been flagged for review, that little boost could prove useful to my prospects...

I know it sucks big time. Lucky for me I got on it before this period of "vote 5" on just about everything began.

Yeah - I remember the days when somebody saying "vote 5" was code for "Blam this". Clearly the code was forgotten and people voted 5 anyway...
