Thanks for the update, Bahamut. I'm now in the top 20, so that's great. Just over a week's worth of B/Ping and I should be up to #19, by passing Phantom.

A 300+ points week and I should be well on target, but we'll have to see how it goes - I'll have quite a bit of time out over the next weekend, but it shouldn't make too much of a difference to the inevitable.

What do you mean...? Like that time when Tom (Wade?) said he could ban users who'd solely vote 0 on everything... I don't know if that actually happened to anyone, though.

I have seen warnings been given out for voting 5 on spam flashes before. Although I haven't seen any stat resets for this, I would use this as extra precaution for anyone with an unhealthy amount of saves compared to blams. Oddly enough, I was thinking of doing this with my Bahamut7 alt since all the blams go to Toohot100 and I vote to protect on my Bahamut7 for some flashes. However, what I said could apply to my alt, even if I avoid voting high on crap flashes like the plague so I should leave it be.

My pace turned out alright, considering I spent most of the weekend on the beach due to the hot weather out here. It won't be long before I pass Sentio and the top 30 will be getting pretty close then.

This is a pretty good pace for me. According to NG Logs I gained 59 B/P on Friday. I don't remember when I reached that many in one day the last time...
I closed the gap on georpeproject a tiny little bit, but not enough to consider passing him since his pace is nearly as good as my own.
So yaya12 is still my next target, but he's still 3,000 B/P away. :/

Not to be argumentative, but Ultor does have a point, and I must respectfully disagree with your assessment, Coop. Here's why:

Let's say, for example, that 140 flashes a day passes through the portal. If you're in school, you may only get 4 or 5 hours a day to be on Newgrounds, so you're only going to be able to vote on maybe 15-20% of the flashes for that day. Based on your voting patterns, you will earn "x" B/P points for that day.

But once you're on summer break, and you're spending 8 - 10 hours on the portal, you're now voting on 40 - 50% of all of the flashes - which means your own personal B/P rates will increase, even if the flow through Newgrounds stays constant.

For example, let me use my own stats. I've been keeping track of my votes to see how I do against the overall volume on Newgrounds. Recently, my blam accuracy is about 25% - that means for every 4 flashes I think should be blammed, 1 is blammed - the other 3 pass. But my save ratio is much higher - almost 90% - so for every 10 flashes I think should be protected, 9 are protected.

Assuming that the flow on Newgrounds remains constant, on one day, I may try to blam 20 flashes, and protect 50. But based on my rate, I'll get maybe 5 blam points and 45 protect points, or 50 B/P points for the day.

But, let's say on another day (assuming the same flow) I pull a marathon and try to blam 30 flashes and protect 80 - I'll get about 8 blam points and 72 protect points, or 80 B/P for that day. My voting patterns didn't change, nor did the flash entry rate - but since I spent more time voting, I got more B/P for the day.

Individual B/P rates can go up during the summer for those who have extra time on their hands.

True. Those B/P points are definitely first-come, first serve. So, if the stat-whores (like me) stay on longer, we are gaining more points personally, but at the expense of the more casual user who doesn't vote as often...
