Well, it looks like I'm going to have more catching up to do. It looks like I'll pass my good buddy Mikey at some point this week, and may even have a shot at Wayne. However, if I want to get to the top 50, I don't think it's going to be passing any of those guys between spots 51-55 (except for yaya). If I'm going to hit the top 50 again, it looks like I'll have to have some more inactive people fall to me.

Thanks for the update Bahamut. I haven't bothered to B/P much lately, so I'm reckoning Shanus will pass me fairly soon. Incidentally, he'll be the first person to pass me in B/P since I've entered the top 300 list. I'm glad it'll be someone I know, at the very least ;P

As for me, I passed XwaynecoltX and took some more steps closer to the top 50. Looks like my next target is yaya12, as Sea Goat and ScottTowels look to have stuck some pace down this week. If I can catch them, it's a bonus, but I'll assume for the major goal (one of the first fifty users to 50k B/P) that these two will be beating me, judging by this pace.

Now at college you better believe the least amount that I will ever get in one day is 50 B/P. And I will be in college for three years straight, even in the summers. The only days that I won't get over 50 B/P are the days that I'm at home, whether it be a holiday or one of the weekends that I go home.

On a more serious note - don't neglect your life and the opportunities which may arise just to get more B/P points. The next three years are EXTREMELY important in your success. I am sitting here with my Bachelor's degree, working on my MBA with five years experience in my field and a PRISTINE resume and currently going NO WHERE. Being the sole provider to my kids doesn't allow me to take the risks I could have taken 10 years ago. Today's job market is TOUGH - and it's going to take quite sometime for the economy to rebound. It's going to get much worse before it gets better. Don't waste the opportunities you have now to make yourself better then the rest in the long run. Be more then just anohter face in the crowd.

And who says I haven't?? Take a look at where I live and think long and hard about what nationally ranked University is in the area (number 6 the last I checked). The one thing I will add is this: there are numerous top executives which received degrees from "sub-par" institutions, or have no degree at all that are more successful then you or I could ever imagine.

Don't kid yourself into thinking that receiving a degree from a top notch institution entitles you a ticket on the gravy train. Everything has a price.

I heard it was a great school to attend for Elementary Education, plus it was really close to home so it was an obvious choice. Not to mention that I'm... my parents.. are only paying around 3,000 dollars a semester, which is pretty low in most cases. When was the last time you happened to be on campus and why were you on campus in the first place if you don't mind me asking? You did say you knew the school well.

And don't worry I am enjoying college life. If you read my newest news post you will see that I have left newgrounds during the week, except for early in the morning and late at night, so I can spend more time with my girlfriend, my school work, and with friends. I still get a lot of B/P though because I can really do that effortlessly while I'm studying or doing homework and it doesn't really distract me. Again, Friday is a little bit of an exception of me not being on newgrounds because I have more time after my classes are finished and I like to use this day as a day to relax.

I didn't, I was making a generalization. Everyone I know at top ranked schools and ivys have had no problems starting their careers, even in the down economy.

Yes, they are called entrepreneurs primarily. Pointing to Michael Dell, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs as examples of rich executives who did have premier educations ignores the economic reality of how rare their situations were. The business world is much more competitive now and you will be unable to get an elite finance, accounting, or other business related job without a high GPA from a nationally ranked school.

Actually I know for a fact that a degree from an ivy is a ticket to an easy life with high earning power. Take a stop by Columbia or Harvard and watch the recruits put the full-court press on undergrads.

I do not mean to be offensive but that is the way life works. The very small minority on top of the educational spectrum continue their dominance as they begin their careers at the expense of those who were unable to get into the elite institutions.

Nope, the national champs not to long ago in Boxing and Softball in division 1 sports. Nope I see what you mean there the college has no reputation at all. ;) Also wrestling is division 1 with teams like Penn State and Ohio State on their schedule etc.. Other then sports it's considered one of the best schools to go to be an education major in Pennsylvania. Come on get some of your facts straight before just assuming things. ;p No offense or anything.
