Yeah, there is something wrong with the rankings, everyone is up one or two spots from where they should be, starting somewhere. The same thing happened last week when there were two joiners but no leavers.
It appears that the username of some people in the top 300 isn't registering properly or something along those lines. If you look around the #237 mark none of those people are actually ranked 237, so that person is missing.

Not a bad gain for the week, considering how little I've been around.
This next update will be the last one where I have any BP gain at all until the end of July. I'll be in Mexico, and as tempted as I am to bring my laptop with me, I think I'll try to find better things to do while I'm there than BP my summer away. Plenty of time for that when I get back, anyway.
So, congratulations to everyone who will pass me while I'm gone, too... and congrats in advance to Coop83, who will most likely pass DoD while I'm away.
LOL

Now now, it's not that much of a big deal. If I was passing him to get into the top 50, it certainly would be, but let's put things in context. Dream-of-Duke is no fixit, ramagi or Denvish. I'm passing a wannabe, not a legend.

Heh... If only DoD was here to witness this verbal raping of his character. What a show it would be.
As for myself, I haven't had much opportunity to B/P lately, what with student loans and trying to get my accommodation sorted out for university. All this stuff is really important, though, so as soon as it's finished, I'm sure I'll be back into the B/Ping.
Until then, all I can hope is that simon doesn't pass me with his crazy sudden blast of pace.

This update re-introduces bold text for 50+ B/P pacers, which Afro_Stud removed claiming the bold text didn't work on the redesign. He must has removed it on the week the redesign was launched. Thanks to a little look at the If statements on gfoxcook's pentalist spreadsheet, I found a way to get the bold HTML tags to appear for all the 50+ B/P pacers. I was trying to get it done for the 4+ rank climbers as well, but sadly, OpenOffice Calc had some disagreements with me, so I'll have to put in the italic HTML tags manually.
Whoa, kick ass. Way to figure shit out from my <IF THEN BULLSHIT> in those spreadsheet cells.
The only thing worse than DOING things like IF statements in Excel or OpenOffice or wotev.... is having to try and explain it to someone else (even in person, but especially on teh INTRAWEBS), so thanks for saving me the trouble.
What went wrong with doing an IF for italics as well, though? Just insert extra columns where necessary... because making a single IF statement to do both bold AND/OR italics in the same column of the sheet would be too much of a pain in the ass.
Also, name changers suck.
Now you see the truth of it. #;-}>

Depends on whether your real last name sounds like shit after Bahamut as a real first name or not. Pushed back into the Top 60 yesterday - there's a real dogfight going on between myself and Dakka942 as to who will get the right to pass Dream-of-Duke next. Bearing in mind that the second one to pass him will knock him out of the top 60, so I might just slow down a little :P
That would be after this week's been logged by Bahamut - I'm on course for 50/day, which is pretty damned fast for me :)
Although I already gave you all a heads up on the last update, I feel I should mention this now.
There will be no B/P update today. I still don't feel completely settled back in and I wish to have some time before making the next update. So the next B/P update will be on 22nd June 2008 4PM EST.
I've noticed a few of you have commented on your inaccurate rankings. I'm aware your rankings may not reflect your actual B/P rank, but unfortunately, this is how the spreadsheet works for me. If I were to check for any missing users ranked in the top 300, it would take me a few hours to go through over 300 profiles to do that. And really, I have enough trouble with users who have either been deleted or had their name changed. If those users are on the spreadsheet, this will make it really hard to pull the stats. This is because of how Casualty's program works; if it tries to pull stats from a non-existing username, the program will crash.
So I apologise if your B/P ranks on my updates don't reflect what your userpage says, and I also apologise for the update I'm missing out on. This should be the only time I have to miss out on an update until the next year or so.
One last thing, if you do know anyone with a lot of B/P and has had his/her name changed, I'd appreciate it if you let me know who they are. I also wouldn't mind people letting me know who's getting close to the Top 300 B/P ranks, even if they're already on the spreadsheet. I'll still try and find these people myself, but there's a likely chance that I'll overlook some users.

I just meant that since you love 7s so much, 77777 for you is probably about as hot as 66666 or 36000 or 36360 would be for me.
I only hate irregular looking numbers, so a number like 82561 I'd hate to stop at. 70007 is good for now.
What if I made the B/P updates web-based?Then people would probably have hard-ons for the coloured regions again, and for star paces and all that good old-fashioned DOGMA stuff, presuming you put those into it.
That's what I'd do if I made the B/P updates web-based. However, before I do that, I'd have to be good at finding almost every user who's Private or above. Right now, I'm not up to doing that.
I accepted the add. Looks like I'll have to add you back, even though yourself adding me should be enough. I guess not for Nintendo WFC games.Yeah, sometimes Nintendo makes us go a little too back'n'forth'n'back'n'forth and all. #;-}>
Damn you Nintendo. At least MSN doesn't do that.
So whenever I go and change my real name to Bahamut, should I go and change my last name to pentalist as well? lol. Nah, Bahamut would be good enough.Depends on whether your real last name sounds like shit after Bahamut as a real first name or not. If it does, then I recommend you change it to Pentalist (or... if you wanna go with the dragon thing fullspeed ahead, how about Bahamut Pendragon?
So what do you think of Bahamut Murray? Also, nah, I'll skip the Pendragon name.

Not hate, per se. I really have to try and come up with this herculean effort to push myself past the following parameters:
1) 50 Points per day for the fortnight
2) Dakka942 - I wish to be the man who knocks Dream-of-Duke out of the top 60 myself!
3) 41,000 B/P
Looks like I've got a challenge for these next few days. It's possib;e for me to do this - I managed it over the last week, didn't I?

Actually, I might be able to help you with this. I was working on a b/p list that sadly I came within 30 users of completing, but was never able to finish... Anyway, I've got well over 200 users ranked anywhere from 301 to 1,000. (Most are in the ballpark of 301 to 500). You probably have most of these names already but I can give you the list I have if you wish. I'd love to help out. :)
Actually, you've had your B/P status tracked for years now. However, your name wasn't supposed to appear on that list considering you weren't in the top 300 B/P at the time.
O_o That's actually kind of scary... My name's been being tracked for YEARS?! Wow tracking me from 2006 to early 2008 must have been veeeeeery boring... XD
Nah, I'm sticking to Bahamut. No other name can replace it.

WHEE.
I've noticed a few of you have commented on your inaccurate rankings. I'm aware your rankings may not reflect your actual B/P rank, but unfortunately, this is how the spreadsheet works for me.
FIX UR SPEDSHITE.
This is because of how Casualty's program works; if it tries to pull stats from a non-existing username, the program will crash.
Or maybe, before you use Casualty's program, you should just open all the profiles manually. Not to pull the data, but just to make sure the users all still exist, and to glance and see if any usernames look changed (you should get familiar enough with the usernames at least from doing this list to know if something's wrong).

:::tips cap to you again anyhow:::
Now you see the truth of it. #;-}>If only we had the profile id#'s back.
Well, there is that workaround method... but of course the only way to GET the #s anymore if you don't have them already for old users... is for that person to have a banner pic or a profilepic or whatnot to get the userid# from the image URL.
Ugh... 63197, while containing a backwards 36... OTOH... is ugly as fucky. 197... man. What a crappy number. Is 197 a number as horrible as 37 to you?
No, but it's certainly one of the... 10-20 worst numbers in the first 200.
Lemme see here...
7, 17, 23, 31, 37, 43, 57, 71, 73, 97.
Those would probably have to be my least fave in the first 100, for instance.
All of those numbers plus those numbers+100 make up my least fave from the first 200, except for 123, which suddenly becomes okay FOR SOME STRANGE REASON. #;-}>
And yes, as you can see, I tend to dislike numbers that end in 3 or 7, but not ALL numbers that end in 3 or 7. 27's cool because it's 3 * 9, and 77's not only my birthyear (aren't you jealous, 7777777head? #;-}>) but it's also 7 * 11 of course, etc. etc.
I tend to dislike prime numbers often. But most of all, my least fave numbers will ALWAYS consist of all odd numbers, but never with numbers that end in 5, which are the only acceptable (always acceptable, that is) odd numbers, because at least they're never prime.
And for some reason, odd numbers ending in 9 offend me less than odd numbers ending in 1, 3, and 7. And yes, 1337 should be one of my most hated numbers for all these reasons, but somehow it's the exception that proves the rule. Yet I'm still partially squicked by it.
Two days prior to my 31st birthday. A present... just for me? Awww, you shouldn't... not have. #;-}>It's actually a present for Jake for when he gets back from his trip. He says he'll be back home on 28th June, which is when he'll be announced as the newest quadlister.

You could always make a web b/p list that wasn't a full EGRL, yanno.
I never stopped calling this list the EGRL, even though it hasn't truly been an EGRL since the Dogma days.
b/p 51+ was its original name, obviously, as you can see from the topic title. But that takes more effort to type than EGRL, plus so does "top 300 b/p" or anything else.
I guess top b/p doesn't take too long. EGRL's still simpler and quicker to type, though.

Tracking accounts is an interesting thing. After Coop enter the gambling boat as a participant with Dragon and I acting as bodyguards, we then went around every deck to find Polanski while Coop start gambling in a tournament. As I wandered into a lounge, I found a girl who's about 13 to 15 years old crying, when i asked her what's wrong she said that she felt bad because she was used as a bait to lure a "horny old man" into a trap. With that I asked her where he was, she said she can't tell me or they'll kill her. Soon after a group of Mr. Hussein's thugs came bursting in and we ran down the hall and right into the restroom. Knowing that they'll find us, I took out a rope and quickly tie two plungers together to form a nun-chuku. When one of the thugs enters the restroom, I shoved a plunger onto his face and then I kicked him out of the door. Afterwards I came out of the restroom and start attacking the thugs with a nun-chuku until they fled. After that was over I took the girl to somewhere safe and ask her to tell me where that horny old man is and promised that she won't get hurt, eventually she told me that he's at the boiler room guarded by two men. As we went to the boiler room, I create a diversion by knocking over a garbage bin where one of them came to see what's going on until he got knocked out from behind. As his friend came I quickly plunged a plunger into his mouth and kicked him to the door where he would lose consciousness. When we went in, I found Polanski tied up on a chair with a ping-pong ball in his mouth while gagged at a same time. After we untied the troubled director, we went to where the competition is at to find Coop in the championship round against Mr. Hussein himself. It doesn't look good since Coop lost the first two rounds easily until Mr. Hussein start tapping something in his ear and that's when I realize he's been cheating like Bill Belichick. Despite this, somehow Mr. Hussein hesitates and proceed to lose all the money at the final round. After that he told all everyone but Coop leave so they can discuss something privately, as everyone did so I told Polanski to leave with the girl while I went to hide behind the cabinet and then sneak right under one of the gambling tables with sheets. Once the door is closed, Mr. Hussein takes out a gun and points it at Coop saying that he know who he is and will take revenge on the God of Gambler's previous student Michael Chan by killing him and sent his body to Ko Chun. Just when he was about to pull the trigger, I took an ash tray from the table and threw it at Mr. Hussein's hand, knocking his aim by few inches allowing Coop to disarm him. After that Mr. Hussein's men were ready to open fire at us when Dragon burst into the room and start open fire, killing most of Hussein's men while the rest fled. After we tied Mr. Hussein up, Dragon told us it was time to leave since he called the police about an illegal activity going on and it was revealed Mr. Hussein have been stealing charity money while hosting a tournament. After we left, we came upon Polanski and asked him to tell us about the illegal sale of VGH, saveroids and the stolen documents of the "Fulp Report".

I'd like to thank Metal-Therapy for giving me a huge list of users that may have not been on the spreadsheet. I found 90+ more users thanks to his great help. :)
You're very welcome. :) Can't tell you how happy that made to hear you found that many names. I'm just glad that little project of mine paid of in some way.

Heh, to be honest, I've found passing users easier since joining the top 300 compared to the top 400. I assume that will change as I get a little higher in the ranks, though. :P
Thanks a lot for the update, Bahamut. -Glad to be here. Passing a whopping 26 people should ensure that I wont be going anywhere anytime soon. ;p
This sig is my identity -what was I thinking getting rid of it??
