I ended up giving you text files of ~500 people I think. I was referring to the full Excel file, which would save him the hassle of mining through the Full List just to get thePIDs.

Well I figure if I simply show the order in which the information on the list goes, people should be able to figure out the way to read the list, without out me spending extra time trying to fit everything in the exact columns.

Give it a shot, but it's a pain in the arse to try and keep track. The real issue is when a couple of Vagrants end up near each other or (worse yet) are near each other and at similar paces. "So ahh, which blank is Vagrant8 and which is Vagrant5?" ~shrug~ you just have to guess and hope lol

Well all of the vagrants aren't going at extremly fast rates, and are spaced out pretty far for the most part, so I track that with no real problems.

The hard part in Excel is simply learning the snytax you need to use to get it to do what you want. Nick through my file and you'll see a number of examples of various things you can do and how to do them.

Mein Gott. Don't these people have commitments? I remember in the summer it was ok, since I wasn't doing anything except 5 hours of summer school a day and about 4 hours of work a day. So it was fine to just dedicate the rest of the day and some of the night to NG. But now people are still going crazy. I'm guessing they just really don't care about school work, or have easy classes. Or are adults with nothing better to do.

75-100 per day isn't too bad. If you look at the EGRL archives there were many people achieving that rate.

No.

Denvish and yaya12 were at least gaining 130, if not 140, blam/protect points per day.

Both of them earned a few stars (requirements for a star: 142.86+ b/p pts per day, 1000+ b/p pts per week) with daily paces above 150 and 160. Denvish received 9 stars and yaya12 earned 2 stars before the last EGRL's update. yaya12 is currently inactive and denvish slowed down for a while but they probably reached 1000+ b/p pts per week a few times after the death of the EGRL which is still dead.

The current updates are for a different list. It doesn't include all the elite guards and the top 50 is ignored.

Nice update yet again. It's good to see myself climbing up the ranks. Been a while since I saw it(Before I first noticed this list, that is). I wanna pass ShittyKitty most. I remember him bragging about passing me a while back. >:-(

And my brain is dying as I write this, and I'm really tired, so comment post tomorrow, because spending 10 hours on a list is not good for your health. Ugg. All I can think of right now is newgrundling getting the most b/p points. But comments tomorrow, just enjoy the list now, or die :)

10 hours on 250 people just isn't right. Even at my worst, I was taking 10 hours to do manual stat pulls on 2500 people and post on ~800. I leave for Spain on Wednesday, and have some image updates I'm trying to get done before then. In any spare time I've got between now and then, I'll see what I can sketch out for you. Worst case, I'll come up with a format you can copy down and fill in. Good luck =)

Mein Gott. Don't these people have commitments? I remember in the summer it was ok, since I wasn't doing anything except 5 hours of summer school a day and about 4 hours of work a day. So it was fine to just dedicate the rest of the day and some of the night to NG. But now people are still going crazy. I'm guessing they just really don't care about school work, or have easy classes. Or are adults with nothing better to do.

You signed up about when I did, so you should know better than to ask silly questions like that. There will always be people who have the spare time and the focus to BP at a high rate for extended periods of time. The limiting factor has always been the volume of submissions, not the wherewithall of the voters.

The more submissions that came in, the higher your pace needed to be to have a special mention; in some cases you needed WELL over 100/day to get a special mention. When the submission rate died down, it changed into the flat rates of 50/day and 100/day with the split at 75/day inserted thanks to carmel's suggestion. What they're looking at as the "speedies" is actually a pretty sedate pace. When you're getting almost 200/day entries, 75+ is fairly easy.

MPA didn't get starred an awful lot, but let's not leave him out. If I was giving stars out for 100+ instead of 1k pace, he'd have his own galaxy. While the 1k paces tended to be an irregular event, subject to the submission whims, MPA just had (has?) a consistency to his high pace that wasn't matched until Denvish came back.

The time was mostly spent on making the spreadsheet I was going to use, and I learned quite a few things while making it, so It should be way less time for next updates. The more you do it, the better you get, so I will be able to do everything faster. Plus I had a headache that slowed me down a bit, so whatever.
