That's awesome but try to top this. My Dad got a grant for a documentary as a project for his research. He gets a $20,000 budget which will be used for a digital video camera of $4000 worth, a tripod, a hard camera case, a soft camera bag, proper lighting, external sound and audio equipment, DV tapes for film, various other sundries, and travel expenses. I get to film the documentary and do all the technical side. It's great because I'll be able to put it down on my resume as an educational documentary used by nation-wide universities, AND we get to keep the Camera, and equipment unless someone at work requests it's use for check-out. (They then have to return it to us when they are through) That means, lots of home-made movies with a $4000 camera. I lucked out big time.
