so i've been working weeks to get from silver to gold, and it only worked when i got about 300 abusive reviews from these alts. if it takes about a month to get to gold the honorable way, then imagine how much time it would take to get to deity. i just cant stay away from this crap, but if some people follow my path, i might break this addiction of racking up whistle points.

Yeah, it's not that cheaters ruined the fun and whatnot, it's also that I can barely click with my right hand right now, and I got nothing from it. I feel like I was cheated by the mods.

Yea, i'm sorry but the mods im my eyes are being LAZY AS HELL. Instead of sending the account to wade for insta ban give us our hard clicked points, twards the end there were 60+ flags and i was frekaing out thinking i'd finally get my next whistle level up, BUT noooo they had to be lazy and kill the account first instead of atleast meeting us half way and giveing us SOME whistle points.

I just got a PM from Kidray saying that we will get some more goldmines later. We will, and even if RageVI gave us all the points, like rahvin the vampire said: it would just encourage people to make alts.

Stop whining about this. Seriously, get over it. It's selfish to make the mods go through hundreds of illegitimate reviews just to get yourself a new shiny image on your user page. Nobody's making you do this, and flagging mass spam reviews to get easy points not only defeats the whole meaning of flagging, but it just encourages more people to create spam accounts, compounding the problem.

The whistle system is there to eliminate garbage reviews, not to encourage them.

Actually guys how do you find most of the abusive reveiws?

i dont see how deleting an account that has 100+ abusive reviews will discourage making alts for that purpose. some guy could make a bunch of alt accounts and put ten or fifteen abusive reviews in each account. there are ways around this. ip addresses probably dont do shit either. you can just go to the public library and get past the filters to post crap from their address.
fairness is a problem. a guy who was here earlier could find goldmines and reach deity in no time, while people who didnt get here in the right time wont be able to mark anything. everyone should have an equal opportunity to get whistle points.

guess what im trying to say is there should be a better system.

The whistle system is just an incentive. I'm saying people shouldn't be stat obsessed whores and flag here just until they get their precious little Deity whistle, then never flag again. Those people really piss me off. You do it for the good of NG.

Lol I'm doing that with Blam/Protect points, stopping right at 30000. Of course it's for voting power, not stat whoring.

Well JC has been ontop of this thread lately. He has been very helpful to all the new users by posting alot of abusive reviews, showing people the ropes, everything. He was a model mentor here and people basically said 'Screw you' when they just made an alt and utilized it for cheap points.

Atleast, that's my understanding.

Alright, I think it's time I threw my 2 cents in the dog pile here.

People all you're saying is that you SUPPORT alts making tons of abusive reviews. That is actually against the rules:

"Creating multiple accounts to evade bans and commit multiple offenses may result in your ISP or the authorities being contacted."
Scroll down to the Reviewing Submissions paragraph, and is the last sentence before the list of rules.

In all fairness, we are marking abusive reviews, BUT, in doing this, we fuel the continence of this rule breaking. If people make alts to get, more than likely their, whistle points up is not only wrong, but stupid. Why would you risk getting an IP ban for such a futile thing? Yes the Deity whistle is shiny, the highest whistle level to date, and shows that you actually spent time searching, or just coming here, to get rid of some of the abuse that goes on here on NG. But, if you make an alt for such purposes, you are cheating real abusive reviews from getting deleted. Same goes for flagging an alts reviews. Copy/pastaing reviews on to, usually the top rated, submissions isn't abuse, it's stupidity. The time it takes people to flag all those reviews could of been more wisely spent searching for abusive reviews else wear. You can't honestly say you got a Diety whistle when you mark spam reviews, and not actual abusive reviews. Especially this last alt's reviews. Not only was it a copy cat in just the sense of spam reviews, but the same name as well... That in it self shows not only it's an alt, but that it's most likely, not going to count... As I believe the last 'youihate39' faced the same fate.

So ya, stop whining about not getting some points, get em the honest way...

actually EmoLight is probably an old alt that someone is using to abuse the whistle system now that I look at it. Probably trying to make a gold mine without it seeming like he's doing the such. But oh well, thought I'd point that out any ways.

Well basically what I have been saying. But please forget this! Just get back to flagging reviews instead of ranting of what happened. I myself was actually quite surprised to get Deity in two weeks. I was just helping out by flagging with a normal whistle and boom. And for all stat whores out there just be patient and quit bitchin and moaning. I am done with this. XD

NOOOOOOOOOOO!! I had a list of about 30 links with abuisive reveiws, and then I had to shut down IE (im not allowed to get firefox), because it wasn't responding.

I couldnt even recover anything >:( I didnt even flag the reveiws I found because I didn't want a mod noticing it, before you guys saw it. I just wasted 1 hour and 30 minutes.
