You don't need photoshop or fireworks or any other kind of expensive software to make them (although they do come out much nicer). You can make them with MS Paint. But if you wanna try something thats better than MsPaint and free try using paint.net (its free right?) or you could always use a free trial from one of those expensive programs.

thnks for helpin. i heard that photoshop isn't that hard to afford though. well if by sum miracle i can afford to get some decent program, maybe i can make a header of my own.

You should make this a weekly thing, you know, like COW and ChOW and SoTW. Then the winner gives us a subject to make a banner on, it'd be really fun!
