Welcome To The Tutorial Collab '07! I decided to finally start this old girl up, after months of preparation,
Hours of flash and doing some favours I'm not too proud of, production can finally begin. I hope this collab
can be bigger, better and trump the 100,000 hits the last collab received.
What Its About
Pretty simple really, this collab is aimed to teach, inform and show people how to make flash, along with
other programs such as FLStudio, 3DMax, Swift3D, Photoshop, Fireworks, Flex and tons of other things. Hopefully this one
will break the 100 tut mark and help even more people :).
Pay/Sponsorship
After the last collabs successes, there should be definite sponsorship, but I am
waiting for your quality entries so I can give the sponsor something to go on, but I'm hoping for something like an $800+
sponsorship. This will be split between the number of tutorials and distributed for each part.
Also, if you want to make music or art for the collabs intro, then you will be paid accordingly. If anyone has any music to suggest
for the collab, I would be grateful (the current tracks are temporary).
Tutorial(Part) List
Here's a list of all the parts that will be available, I'll explain them in more detail later on. It's a long list, so there's
bound to be something for everyone. If a tutorial you would like to make is not here, feel free to email/ pm me with your
idea and I'll give you the go ahead.
You can find a real time part list here if you want to see what is taken and whats free.

Specifications
# Stage Size : 600x600
# You must use the template file so it keeps in with the tutorials design.
# No music, it's included in the template.
# Sound effects are fine :S.
# 27fps
# All frame based coding must be in AS2. However, AS3 tutorials can put AS3 on the stage etc.
# When you are writing 'code' on the stage, please use the font 'Tahoma', or another easily readable font.
# Test all the code before you make a tutorial, no point teaching someone something that doesn't work.
# More instructions etc in the 'instructions' layer in the template.
Doing a Tutorial
At the end of this long post, you'll see a link to the template .zip . This folder will be the root of your tutorial,
it contains the template you have to work around, instructions, two fonts you will need and contact info.
The template .fla in this folder is the basis of everything. Basically, you can put whatever you want (to an extent) inside the
marked red box. This can include examples, images, text, flash, videos etc. It'll also contain the actual writing :P.It's advised that you make an example (if you can) for your tutorial on the first frame. This gives the reader an idea of what
the hell they're doing, and it helps show them that they are being taught by someone who knows what they are talking about.
If you do a part, please PM me with a pm titled like so.
"Tut Collab - Part Name - Your Name"
It just helps me sort out my pms and keep everything organized. When you're finished, send me another pm (or email) titled like this.
"Tut Collab - Part Name - Your Name - FINAL"
Again, it's just for organisation, this pm/email should contain your paypal address if you want to be paid for your part(s) :).
Co Authors
Now that newgrounds allows 10 co-authors, I can pick more people to submit it with me. It'll be based off the best tutorials,
most tutorials (they must be good), examples and promotional material.
So, even if you don't do a tut, but you spend hours on a wallpaper, you still have a chance of getting the co-author position.
If you spent 10 minutes on a tutorial, with no examples and a messy layout, don't expect to get co-author.
DON'T POST!
