this really ticks me off. i was gone for a week and when i came back every1 was happy cuz they went up lvls so i was like alright il be like lvl15 cuz the new ng stuff is in and when i went on my comp and looked i wwent down to lvl 7. wtf happened?

After reading a few threads about gaining and losing levels, I've noticed a lot of people are confused why they lost levels while other users gained levels.

Let me make this clear for you (or at lest try)

The purpose of the extra levels is to make leveling up easier. (less exp required between levels)

As many of you have noticed there is no longer 50 point intervals between lvls 1-8.

Many users were level 9 before the new leveling system was in place, because the old lvl 9 covered a span of over 1,200 points. Users from 400 exp to 1600 exp had the lvl 9 icon. With the new icons, the experience requirement was changed to accomidate the curve of the required exp to level up.

Users that had a low ranked lvl 9 icon in the past will fall to lvl 7. (400-600ish exp) while users that were close to lvl 10 (1300 - 1600exp) gained levels.

Users that were in the 800-1200 range probably didnt gain or lose much.

Confusing? maybe but hopefully this helps some of you out there,

Become more active i only went up one level during the redesign if you want higher levels just come on more and don't just focus on levels try getting more posts,b/ps,and whistle too.

I was a level 10 and I went up four levels. I just hit level 10 about 2 days or so before the redesign as well. I guess if I was a high level 10 I might have gone up even more. Oh well though. Being lvl. 14 is good enough for me.
