Why is my internet so freaking slow?! Its running at like 1Kbps! Im wiredly connected to my router with my laptop. Anyone know a good way to make your internet faster? I know its faster then this. Btw, im using Firefox 2.0.0.5 and... umm... I dunno.

The only other reason I can think of: Are you running any torrents or other RAM-munching processes?

No torrents at all, only thing running is firefox, virus scanner, and MSN.

well i have a cool program, but you can only buy it in antigonish, withch is only applicible if your from NS canada. its callled NOD32, i know itis bought at a small computer company here its not a ram eater its awsome but it might be for sale elseware.

I agree with you, though that wasn't any better.
To the topic starter: I think you're best bet would be to contact you're local ISP, and ask them what the problem could be. They're the ones who manage you're internet connection, so they're the best people to go to if you want a solution to you're problem.
