I was just noticing, there's a bunch of inactive mods. Mods that were modded years and years ago have seemed to just leave NG, and they aren't too active. So... why are they still mods?

Because they're going to make an unexpected return.

Everybody who's on the moderators list is around and moderating on a basis that's often enough to warrant keeping them aboard the team.

Inactive moderators were dealt with months ago.

If a moderator hasn't been online for 6 moths - a year or more, they really shouldn't be moderators anymore.

Sure there could be such cases as joining the military or other such complicated internal affairs, but the could always have their moderatorship re-instated once they become active again.

If they're not going to come back, then what's the fear in keeping them on the list?

You're such an inactive mod Evark... If you were more active you'd join us to the Montreal meet-ups >:)

Because 0 days of activity makes them more qualified to moderate these forums than you.

I've been done with the job that prohibited me from doing so for five weeks now. And now that I am, there's no Montreal Meetup planned (that I've seen).

Bond can take a long, thoroughly enjoyable vacation from MI6, escape their all-encompassing watch, get wasted off of shaken martinis with random bitches, and then return to HQ at his lesiure. Is his double 0 status stripped from him? I don't think so.

And considering the fact that being a moderator isn't an actual job - it's just an authoritative power with an extended responsiblity - the ability to moderate shouldn't expire with time or inactivity.
