Eh, it isn't the same, just because it has limited tools doesn't make it so, Paint has lines that aren't anti-aliased, unlike Messengers drawing program.

Thanks, that's very flattering but I'm not a pro. I don't have the training for it. Besides, I'm horrible at meeting deadlines!

Fuck you, he did make it in MS-paint, he shaded it with the spray can, Don't make accusations like this just because you can't fucking accept some one actually had talent.

lol. I'actually take it as a compliment.
I should've made the background first and drew but since I added the background later, you'll notice that the star isn't very symetrical or centered on the screen. lol
The shading would be so much cleaner if it was on ps or psp. I just used spray because the colors look too solid. It still looks a bit messy even though its like 5-6 shades of gray. I actually have a work-in-progress folder in my photobucket page if you want to see the previous steps. I just finished the vietcong one this morning (added background, colored the communist's shirt).
Here's one with manual dithering although not very smooth looking : (Nikki from NBC's Heroes)
no im saying u cant do that, if anyone else would notice that his shadeing is in paterns!!!

So?

You can clone a pattern by selecting the area (set the transparency on the left) then holding CTRL+SHIFT (equivalent of clone stamp tool in Photoshop). It's not exactly impossible or extra complicated in MSpaint. The only difference between MSpaint and Photoshop is that dithering and aliasing isn't a single button action for there is no tool specifically for it. Dithering involves overlapping patterns (CTRL+SHIFT makes your life easier rather than sitting there all day and repeating the patterns manually using the brush tool). Aliasing manually involves a calculator and notepad to calculate the color values.
Barev dzez.
might as well throw this in..even thought sheng is raping this thread with greatness
