Well, I think the minimum FPS for the human mind to be tricked into thinking there is motion (for things like cartoons and tv) is around 11-13fps (minimum)
I'm curious too now, actually.

I feel just a little curious about what your getting at. Now what your saying is that people think that if they have higher frames per second than the actual human eye can see the motions are better.

maybe you do, mine must be higher than that, i can tell the difference between 60 and 30fps quite easily, if my eyes could only respond that quickly, they'd be identical

According to the wonders of google, its rougly 30fps. or so. I heard 14fps before, but 30 makes sence. which is probably why TV standard framerate is 30fps

apparently the blurryness caused when waking up from passing out or something is your brains "rebooting" of its visual system. In technical terms it is your brain taking pictures 1fps then 2fps then 3fps until it reaches normal.

the human eye sees at 60 fps. thats why in a game you cant tell the difference between 90 fps or 60 fps but you can tell the difference between 60 and 30.

This sounds like total bullshit, but what do I know? I don't study the human eye at all. All I know about it is the basic anatomical structures, and the functions of some of those structures.

Your all STILL on about this??? Seriously, it is about 29.4 fps.
Also frame in this instance is meant to be a still image. In other words. IN one second your eye takes almost 30 still images.

I always thought the eye could see at 24 fps... but only needed 12fps to notice movement.
Which is why TV was shot at 30fps and internet cartoons where shot at 12fps. But I guess it's more like 29.4fps.
You kind of sort of learn more about something you sorta already knew about everyday.
