No More Animated Sigs?

I made an Animated Sig but after I tried uploading it, I received a message saying that animated GIFs are not allowed here.
So, why not?
I like my sig : ( . It hasn't hurt anyone.

animated sigs aren't all that great anyway. sure they're cool but pretty pointless as nobody really pays attention to them too much.

Meh, the old site allowed them, and only a small portion of users had animated sigs anyway.
2. Too big file size
Na, its actually about half of the maximum allowed size.
but if u rly want to know it u should send e-mail or PM to adminstration and ask about it

I hate fact that I can't use those sigs anymore. After all the site was just fine with them.

All my animated sigs sucked :( I was happy with the un-animated sig I had but now all the sigs are bigger and my sig looks stupid cause it's small
