I am looking for 15-20 good audio submissions for a CD.

If you want one of your ORIGINAL WORKS to be considered for the production then please submit the NG link to this e-mail:

You may submit up to 3 works, and if one of your is selected, you will recieve 10 free CD's. You will retain all rights to your music. I am just looking to produce a CD, and would like to give some of your audio guys a place to get your music out.

If this goes well, I will look to doing this from time to time, and let initial sales from the first CD roll over into cash prizes for future productions.

What sort of music are you looking for then

Although this may sound like a fun idea, production costs on cd's can be extremely high. Even if you only made 200 (which wouldn't allow you many cd's to try and turn in a profit), you're going to be puting yourself out a good $300 just for the cd's, which doesn't account for any graphics work and mastering work you'll need done. And then you have advertising and marketing, which would also be very high costs if you want to actually sell the cd's.

The best thing to do is to have every artist give you something like $5 for each copy they want.Then the initial costs would be greatly reduced for you, and every artist could get as many or as few cd's as they feel they need.

I think that this first attempt should be Rock/Techno, or even Rap that has a rock feel. Then we can do other types of music should this go well.

I am going to review the NG submission, but will contact the winners via e-mail and work out details for CD quality files, and arranging for them to sign a non-exclusive licensing agreement.

I am aware of the associated cost for various forms of production. I have released 6 DVD titles, and one CD title with my production company Knight Entertainment.

I am not going to charge anything to the artists, and I already feel bad that I can not afford compensation at this time but most of the budget I can dedicate to this effort will go into the cost items you stated.

There is always risk involved, but I am willing to give it a shot.

I want to have a varity of options when reviewing the selections. If I get more quality Rock submissions I will select Rock Selections for a Rock Title, the same for Rap, or Techno.......

Don't forget that the "That's What I Call Music" producers make bank on their compilation CD's and they are a mixture of Rap, Pop, Rock, Rap Techno and Country.

As I producer, I am looking for motivated talent that is willing to get their music out there. That is why I am asking for submissions. it saves me time from approching artists and searching the portal.

If I get great submissions of all three types, I might do three CD titles......who knows?

If I recieve a submission from an aritsts who has allot of great material, I might offer them their own title. Or if I am working on a film project with an Indy Film maker I might need a variety of music for a soundtrack.

I have my reasons to be open to various types of music.

I prefer E-mail's and Links, as this allows me to film those e-mail into a folder and I can go back for reference at a later date.

I do not like IM or PM as it tends to become a distraction, and affects my productivity.

I have heard alot of great submissions! It is not too late to submit, but I think we are getting close to having enough for the first title.

If you are not selected for the first one, don't worry......I plan on relesing more titles, and your songs my be festured on another title. I am saving all submissions to use for consideration.

I believe I am up to date with all current submissions.

It is never too late, as I am looking to make more than CD production. Any type of music is welcomed. If an artists has used your song in an animation, I would even consider releasing a music video DVD, or movie DVD and have the CD as a "soundtrack". There are alot of possibilities.
