You get for what you pay. Sennheiser is good, but it's not really going to be a revolutionary brilliant monopoly in headphones, it's really a preferance. Some people like Sony, I, myself, like Sennheiser and AKG for headphones. For speakers, it would depend on what kind. Like, surround, or monitor..

I was incredibly disappointed, I don't have much treble on this thing. There is good bass, but in comparison to earphones, i'm not hearing half the high end in not only my own songs, but in several others...
I bought these headphones because my earphones have gone mono on me... ie, the right ear bud is pushing up the E minor daisies...
I've never spent money on large headphones before, just earphones. My question is, did I get screwed in the purchase, or are all headphones treble incompetent. I really don't think I could produce good tracks with this, because I fear in order to hear the treble end properly, i'm going to make the song screeching.
Advice?
You still have the receipt? Just take the headphones with you along with the reciept and you might be able to get a refund, if not (thanx to the democratic world) you can at least get an exchange for another pair with the same value. I'd know, I work at Best Buy XD

well technically when producing with headphones you want as flat as response you can get. Maestro, just study some professionally mastered cds with you headphones, and then try to get your tracks to sound like those equalizing-wise.
I personally use Sennheiser HD201s, but I use my speakers for equalizing the low end.
