Okay, but his face misses something and he doesn't really stand out much.

Round off the top of his head and increase the size of his forehead. Shorten the arms just a little bit. Not a bad character, but could use some work.

Ok.... dont worry about anatomy TOO much cause if youve noticed, not everything thats popular on here has great anatomy... so yeah
but you need to make something distinctive about it... something original... not that its not original at all, but yeah.
and the arms are really long.

Wtf does "popular" has do to with it ? Its about learning isn't it ? About becoming the better
and take the critique the right way.. Its about improving, and coming back the next day , after taking a little step towards becoming what you want, a really good artist, and have fun ? Isn't it ?

The only think you give this artist by overrating him is a big ego ( which you will have problem with later. ) , it doesn't happen in all cases, some people are smart and know what to do with asspats.

This character is stiff , is boring , its flat, and theres NO effort behind it... how can you rate it 5/10 !?

I understand if you wants to be nice to the artist, but you are pushing him the wrong way :/
He will think his art is awesome, and be happy about it... That will cause him to limit himself from trying hard. Isn't that a pity ?

Why not push him with critique ?

Ohwell, thats my opinion... Its kinda annoying to state it in each thread, but get some rating criteria , or a scale to go after , and stop exaggerating, you are HURTING the artist.
