Newgrounds.com — Everything, By Everyone.

The new newgrounds looks like a million bucks! The problem is, it's slow as crap on my computer, and it used to go super fast. Any suggestions? Do I need a new flash player, or am I just doomed to a life of slow Newgrounds?

MY guess is it's slow for a lot of people still

There's some kinks to be worked out though, so it might get faster soon.

It's reasonably slow for me, too, especially when I edit something concerning my profile. Hopefully it's just the fact that it's all new, and the problems will be overcome soon.

That's exactly the problem. It's similar to a DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack, only without the "attack" part. In this case, so many users were happy to see the redesign, and hundreds of members signed on to check out the new account features.

I have to agree that the site does seem a little slower, which can be worrisome when attempting to vote on Flash movies in a hurry. I still think the aesthetic quality is worth the slight hit in functionality.

yep its only a little bit slower though.

The site is actually faster than it was previously for me, no idea why though.

It's slowly getting faster as people stop overloading it. (coming from me, haha)

You just have a bad computer, there are alot of things to prccess now (especially with uploads.undergrounded.net gone)

Well they replaced www.ungrounded.net with www.ngfiles.com .

Now it's running faster! Probably because many users logged out, now that is late in the night...

The reason is is running so damn slow is because of so many people attempting to hit the same page at the same time. Plus, your computer has to build a new cache for the new newgrounds.

Yeah, it's a lot slower than usual, even though I have a really fast computer. (Verizon FIos too!) It's even slower on my laptop.
