I still want that inbetween page with the latest 50 or something tracks back. Then clicking on a song will bring you to track's own page. It's too flash portal ish and not audio portal ish. I know thats what they were going for but still, they aren't the same thing.

People keep saying how the audio portal is too much like the flash portal, and i can kind of understand what they mean. I would much prefer a greater individuality with the audio portal, but the old design for it was a little messy and there were problems. Hopefully the new one will give more traffic to audio submissions. Although having said that, i would love if the audio portal was different to the flash portal, but with the same advantages as it has now :)

Have something that shows how many times a song has been favourited and bring back the ordering by Date, Rating, Name etc

I don't know what the other one looked like, but this is really cool!

Ok, so this is my first time posting on the NG BBS after a LOOOOOONG time.
I'd just want to say, I really like the AP at the moment, graphically.

But I'll list some stuff that I find annoying or bad or whatever:
- I don't need visuals with a song, I just turn them off.
- It'd be great to have the AP frontpage working like it should. Best songs ever is fuxxored, new submitted songs don't get green/blue glows if they're good.
- Plz have a blam system for songs, the amount of rubbish songs is just not funny.
- Oh and about the weekly top 5, the songs that are up for the spot should at least have a certain amount of listens and votes IMHO. That way, people who submit just before the deadline and vote 5 for their own song won't get into the weekly top 5. OR the songs submitted from tuesday to monday are elligable (sp?) to be in the weekly top 5 from wednesday to tuesday. So if you submit something the day before the picking of the weekly top 5 (in this case on tuesday, since the start of wednesday the weekly top 5 is picked) your song will count for next weeks top 5. So all songs will be on the AP for AT LEAST a day.
- Also songs in genres that most people don't check out (like Miscellaneous) could again be spawning a lot of high-voted songs.
- Maybe a scroll-over function like the Flash Portal has for the newly submitted songs here on the AP with details like 'artist/size/genre'
- I also agree that voting power in the audio portal should be handed to the ones who vote or review in the audio portal and not the flash portal. Though I am glad that I can even out some stuff due to my raised voting power, I bet there are lots of people who don't know sh** about audio and fiven rubbish songs or downvote (is that a word? oh well, if it isn't, it is now xD) great songs.

These are just some of my thoughts.

I'm pretty sure that most people have ParagonX9 on their favorite artists' list!

Go to your audio submission page, click on the link that that tells you the total reviews you recieved and then look at the bottom of the reviews, if you don't see "Respond to this Review.", then refresh the page and then you will see the respond button at the bottom of each review!

Btw.. I think the score problems have been almost completely solved...
I think that bringing the daily voting ability back, was a good solution to
let users raise their own zero-bombed submissions =]
As long as things wont get into a reversed situation tho, loll

Yeah its going to be a problem when people start voting every song they have 5 every day o_o

well, I don't think it'll be That worse, because if they'll appear on the top of the lists
(and maybe even the 'All time top-scoring list') they will get many vote's AND get their exposure!
if they're good, they will stay on top... if they don't deserve the top lists, they will fall down.
And they can try again by 5'en their song everyday, but it will take much longer each time they
get more votes.

I think voting on your own songs is bad anyway, since you can't objectively vote on something you made yourself. (That's how I see it)
And if you have some 0-voters, you can counter them. I doubt people will go and 0 some peoples songs EVERY DAY.

Here's the thing,
If you've been zero-bombed, there are only three ways to counter it:

-release a new song, which will bring many people to check out your other songs and will raise your scores
-log in anonymously with a dynamic account and vote "5" on your own songs
-beg on the forums for people to check out your songs

Releasing a new song is obviously the most productive thing to do, but it's not always possible. I've considered using the second method, but I think I'll try the first... I'm having some trouble with Audacity that no-one's been able to help me with so far, unfortunately.

I CAN objectively vote for something that I made myself - the question is whether I will. ;-) But I definitely don't think that each of my works is perfect. Although it is true that I lack the skills to see the flaws that some more experienced musicians may see.

There are still tons of things that need fixing. The only thing i can tell you is to wait. About the 0 bombers, who cares? Ratings don't matter. Reviews do. Everyone should understand that.

everybody says that but the truth is reviews is directly in relation to ratings. Don't say it's not.

I'm undecided about the redesign. I refuse to give full judgment until the features that are missing are in place. Assuming it doesn't take more then 3 months.

I think they are done adding, they just have to get everything so it works.

not by a longshot. Firstly they have to implement all the gray links you see when you click on "My Account", i'm just waiting for all of those.

In your Author Comments box, click on the link with the number of reviews you have, which should take you to a page with all your reviews. You can respond to them there.

I think that every genre in the audio portal should have their own chart mod in order to regulate new and old traffic, moderate blams for crappy songs, etc. It's too much for one mod to do the whole audio portal..
