Meh, I was just being melodramatic for effect, I could care less about the chat, unless it gets like REALLY sweet. Otherwise I'm just waiting for a surprise in terms of new content.

But what I'm really anticipating is the overall style of the redesign, color, structure, organization etc.. I'm wondering if there might be a new color theme, maybe a whole different kind of theme like podular in design rather than linear, I dunno.

I can guarantee it. Of course, there will eventually be a "Official Redesign Comments Thread", with subsequently hundreds of locked/deleted topics when people think their comment is too important and deserves its own thread.

Meh, they might be disappointed, you never know. I'm sure some users are expecting highly-modifiable user icons with animated gifs and so forth. So there will be at least minimal bitching in that regard.

It is always the same. With any hyped up thing people are lookign forward to. As most recently the Harry Potter movie. Most people were really disappointed. Why? Not because the movie sucked so bad, but because thought it would be bloody amazing.

It's in the human nature to anticipate things in high regard.

I actually agree with what cellardoor6 is saying here.

In my opinion the new layout will be cool. When it arrived it arrives.

But so many people are looking at it as though it'll herald a new age of unicorns and fucking rainbows that there's no way it can live up to their expectations.

I'm also expecting the day of 'lol new laiyot' threads.

Well, theres a few things that are bugging me personally. The new features are sweet though, just a few things seem odd. For instance, if you look at someone's post history and click the link to it, it will go to the beginning of the thread rather than the page the comment was made. Kind of odd, but that's basically all I have for complaints so far, that and the site is running a wee bit slow.

Other than that, what I like the most is the individual blog feature thingy, the bigger picture parameters in the forum and stuff like that.
