If you're using paint, yeah. GIF is bad. I gives it GIF RAPE! Noooooo...
To avoid that, press Ctrl + A once you're done, Cut it, save as a GIF (Should be empty space), Paste, and save again.

or u could save it as a PNG and go here to convert it back to a jpg/gifto post
