Bush's Tax Cut
Behind closed doors, with no public debate, House and Senate conferees stole $400 per child from nearly six million working class families during their last-minute tax bill negotiations. The New York Times described the new laws as "not just unfair, dishonest, and economically unsound" but also "cruel to low income families." Congress should fix this injustice immediately. One of the few reasonable provisions of the recently enacted tax bill was an increase in the child tax credit from $600 to $1,000. The change should help stimulate the economy rapidly and is being widely distributed. Unless your family income is roughly between $10,000 and $26,000 per year ?- that is, the working poor. In a backroom last minute deal, our elected representatives made sure that nearly six million working class families do not get the extra $400.

well first thing is if you make $10,000 and $26,000 per year you dont pay taxes... which is why they arent getting money...
second is your source will get you flamed...
third is didnt those same elected officials also just pass a bill that does allow the working poor to get their child tax credit???

Hey bro, I dont think youre right about that one. The Bill was changed at the last minute. Congressmen NEVER actually read those Bills. The people who read the Bills work for them. It was something that was changed at the last minute by a few bad ones that actually knew.
:Congress should fix this injustice immediately.
They did.

I would say so...especially if you're going to state such an inflammatory statement as fact.
