When Newgrounds tries to help

We often see threads about people looking for advice in different problems and situations.
The users response often is something like: " omg lol youre so retarded" or "rape her". ou get the idea.

But when the Newgrounds users see someone with a real problem, you can be sure you will get out your trouble.
For example, this week i saved my computer thanks to the help of some newgrounders, as you can see here.

I can honestly say that, if i have a big problem, i wouldn't doubt to post it in here, looking for help, and also getting some stress out with the jokes someone will post.

I know this kind of jokes are part of the Newgrounds culture, but seriously, if we had more good-willed users, this would be a better place.

Have ever been helped, really helped by the newgrounds users?
Do you think this is a place to look for answers about your problems? Why?

Yes, because this is the one of the most active forum on the internet, where a response is often given quickly. Out of the 10 users, of which at least half replies with "omg u retard", there are actually people that give you a serious answer. And of course, there is a thread about anything, NG BBS covers about every subject, doesn't matter how retarded it may be.

I agree with you, pretty much. I think a lot of NGers are actually ok people. Its the whole that gets a bad rap, when you include in all the retards and losers.

NG is a great place for great and horrible advice - sometimes the commentary is full of wisdom, sometimes just foolishness.

Either way, I noticed that NG folks tend to be quite humorous which is one main reason why I keep coming back.

I just felt like writing something about how newgounds saved my ass with the virus thing. And believe me, Google wasnt very helpfull.

Also, this things make users more mature and make the place more balanced.
How would you feel if every response in here was an insult or something aggressive?
