Just bear in mind, folks, that tweens aren't neccessarilly the scurge of flash. It's one of the freaking tools that comes with it. And since Tom's sticking potentially 40 of these things in, it also saves file space. And there are awesome tween movies out there (Arfenhouse 6 for example.)
first off, I honestly could give a shit less about the sonic collab. I hate sonic now and I hate the collab. I quit around the same time you did, its simply the matter of how dickishly you went about it and then following this you put your part that people were relying on you to complete in a totally different collab. who does that? if you drop out of a collab you don't take your completed part and plug it into someone elses flash. dont you see whats wrong with that?
second, i really dont give a shit about trying to bother you on websites. im too busy making a movie to even care about it (although i really think you'll like it ;))
third, tweens can be good if used well and only when completely necessary. in your case, you tween around full body character models, thus giving you a lot of stiffness and limitation in the motion of the characters. one of the worst parts of this is that your characters hardly have any life, so you use the "bouncy" effect of tweens to compensate for this loss. true, the bouncy effect can prove useful if used when necessary. using john k, the creator of ren and stimpy as an example animator who uses this effect right. you however overuse it. your movies probably take approximately a week to actually make finish and color. (and this really isn't a personal attack no matter how much you think it is and try to report me for it. this is actually honest criticism) that's only the animation part. when you combine the models you draw which really aren't of much detail or thought, and the very flat standard colors you use whenever you make something, it makes for a pretty terrible animation. my overall point is tweens should never be used for adept character movement. that requires framebyframe. tweens should only be used for camera pans, the motion of movie clips, backgrounds, certain effects and a few small other things. overusing tweens is a bad thing to do.
:It's really sad that you'd say something like that to somebody who hasn't done anything to deserve it, nor anything to you (and doesn't even know you) for that matter. That's the problem with the Internet now, too many people like you try to put others down for no reason. Wonchop is very talented, funny, and you've got no place insulting him, especially when you have no Flash.
last but not least, i honestly don't think wonchop is crying over what I wrote. you should stop trying to defend him, I dislike him for my own reasons. he DOES know me, if you bothered to read up on shit he apparently talks about me a lot (lmao keep it up chopper). the problem with the internet? no sir, you need to relax and stop being so serious about e-drama, and possibly read up on your facts. I don't dislike wonchop for "No reason". finally, your opinion on wonchop being "VERY" talented, "VERY" funny and that I've got no place insulting him when I have no flash. Well kid, I have to say that he's really not all that talented, he gets most of his jokes from ytmnd and 4chan fads so I cannot see how anything he does is VERY funny, and hey dude, anyone can give criticism. no matter how much work they've done. as I said, if you're so eager to see what kind of flash is gonna be in my profile, feel free to take a look by the end of this month, you might see something nice ;)
anyway to make this post not all about countering points, I'd like to say good luck to anyone who's doing this collab. keicho's part looked good with a cool concept, and I also liked zekey's, it was witty and clever. i'm also looking forward to ross's part and whoever else does good parts on this.
