Bush Is A Fucking Retard! The Reason He wants to drill in alaska is to cut down prices and make sure that we dont support our enemies in the middle east. Let's break this down and explain why he is a fucking retard. 1. America is going to use up domestic resources so in stead of paying 5 dollars for gas now... we'll pay 2... but once domestic reserves fall out... We'll be fucking paying an insane amount becuase we can't use domestic sources... Sure that's fine if your fucking 90 and about to kick it in a few years but for any of us who have a bit of life left in us, in 10 years we'll be paying 200 fucking dollars for a gallon of gas to some ass hole on the other side of the world.
2. Bush Doesn't want to support our enemies inthe middle east with oil trade... but what happens when our reserves run out? Who are we going to go to? Russia? Sure but they'll be monopolizing with they're stock, prices will be fucking crazy... so we'll have to turn to the middle east again. Maybe Sadam Will be dead by then but a fundamentalist anti-american society will not just decide to become pro america for not fucking reason. Bush Isn't thinking ahead, all he wants is a good 4 years so that he can be relected... well... he wasn't REALLY elected the first time... but you know what I mean.

Let's Think about this for real. WHo cares if sadam is dead? who cares if we have an enemy in the middle east? It's not about that. We have the most powerful military and anyone who steps up is going to get hurt! The real issue us about gasoline prices. And if we save domestic sources... Prices will be high now but viable later on. If we use up our domestic sources now like bush is doing prices will be low now but later on, russia and the middle east will have a complete monopoly on gasoline. That's pure and simple.

I am against the US response to Kyoto. There's not much that can be done about that though, because the average American doesn't care about the environment because generally speaking, they're clever enough to fuck someone else's environment (but not clever enough to realise it will come back on them eventually).

However, I think your argument about oil prices is a weak one. Saying that all domestic oil will be used up and then other countries will have a monopoly is short-sighted. Who is to say that new technology won't be invented by then, or that existing technology (such as fuel cells, etc) won't become viable? There are a lot of possibilities, and we can't say for sure what will happen.

Having rabid environmentalists is just as bad as having rabid oil tycoons. Neither will solve the problem of balancing environmental, economic, and social issues.

First thing, I'd like to say I love to mud sling, but I offerd my ICQ adress for that. but My arguement is very strong, and saying that in the future we could just use a seperate source of energy... well why are we destroying our land in order to get fuels now? We should get foregin sources that way we don't have to disturb our land. So what If it's perma frost? It's ours! and we shouldn't deystroy it if we have another option.
