Welcome to the curse, man. i had them for like 3 fucking years and even after all the tightening and the bands, etc, the first couple days were by far the most hellish. i seriously ate nothing but ice cream and applesauce for a week.
You're lucky that you only have them on for 15 months though. i knoe someone who had them for seven YEARS.

The pain isn't even the annoying part of braces. It's having EVERYTHING (and yes, I mean everything) you eat get stuck in your teeth.

B/c I had a half-inch gap for my two front buck teeth (which were quite crooked amongst my other teeth). Yup, I was one ugly kid that would have fit perfectly with the Japanese teenagers of my time. Thousands of dollars later invested in orthodontics is well worth the beautiful smile I have today. =)

Oh, I'm married now so yah, the braces worked. =P
