I got 2 molers pulled from the top row yesterday and got the braces today. They hurt like a bitch and I had to make my sandwitch into a milkshake just to eat it. Just 15 more months to go..

The teeth were crowded, making them crooked. It was necessary to pull them. Plus, I don't have any wisdom teeth on the bottom so I had more teeth on the top, getting them pulled just evened everything out. End my facial profile will actually have MORE height when the process is finished.

I have braces too. Don't worry your teeth stop hurting after the first week or two.
I've had mine for over a year now. You adventually get used to them, but it's still annoying when food gets stuck in them.

Same thing happened to me, but i needed 4 teeth taken out. The gaps are still pretty big, but atleast you don't have to wear a headgear 16 hours a day to fix your overbite. D:

If you get the correct orthodontist, he'll space out your mouth and make it look nice without pulling them.

I had the correct orthodontist. It was way too crowded. And I'm glad, now I have the same # of teeth on the top and bottom. You didn't even see my teeth so you don't know how bad they were. You don't know anything about dentistry so don't act like you do

I got braces in October, but no teeth pulled. I couldn't eat anything but smoothies and milkshakes for 3 days. Now I'm used to them though.

Good luck, you will adapt quickly though, the first couple of weeks may be hard as they were for me too. My braces actually are fixing my teeth faster than expected which is cool.
