Why Next-Gen Sonic games fail!

I’ve been playing Next-Gen Sonic games recently and its just hit me?
Whatever happened to Sonic and Tails?
Seriously, Sonic’s changed So much lately he’s span too far away from what the franchise used to be about!
They keep bringing out all these new characters, Silver the Hedgehog, Princess Elise, Sahara, Chris Thorndyke, they aren’t gonna mean anything come next generation!
Seriously Sonic needs to step back in time to when his games really meant something ‘cus its turning into a joke now!
Whatever happened to a time when it was just Sonic, Tails and Knuckles? Sonic vs Eggman? (Do we even need Shadow?) …(Nah I was just kidding about Shadow)
But I mean, what’s with Sonic going solo all the time with all these new random characters all the time for?
Sonic and Sahara? Sonic and Princess Elise? And whys Sonic spending SO much time with Christopher Thorndyke for!?! Heck, reject your friends why dont’cha!
There was only like ONE SINGLE EPISODE in the entire 78 episode series of Sonic X where Sonic actually spent some quality time with Tails and that was Ep. 34, even when Sonic and the gang all got to go back to their own Planet that spoilt kid had to follow!
Man, if I was Tails I would be so envious at Chris, “GIVE ME MY FRIEND BACK!! Just because we visited your world means you can keep Sonic all to yourself!? I don’t think so!”

Ok so not all new Sonic characters are bad, we had a few good runs with Blaze the Cat, Black Doom and even Mephilis (despite the fact his voice is less creepier than shadows himself) and yeah characters like Cream the Rabbit and E123 Omega managed to establish themselves, but man, enough is enough!
Why can’t we go back to the good days like Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes or even Sonic R had just about enough going for it!
I mean, last time I checked Sonic was about fast, talking animals who battled hard to stop a mad scientist from trying to enslave them into robots and dominate their planet! (Though in the Japanese version, Sonic is from Earth all along, just a magical hidden far away land called Christmas Island where all the animals could talk, P.S. that would explain why Eggman’s still human!)

Its really no wonder so many people hate Sonic when in comparison with Mario, no one knows what its about anymore!
If they all took the time to play Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure 2, or at least the Sonic Advance games then they would all see why he was so well loved in the first place, but why should they?
Why can’t Sonic Team keep making great games like that!?
Its no wonder Sonic’s failing so badly, they’ve become so far up their own ass they now only seem to make the games how they want it, not how its dedicated fans see it!
Remember how you all first felt when Sonic Next-Gen was first announced?
Day to Night cycle? Upgradeable abilities? A more established Super Sonic? Sonic actually being fast?
Now remember how you then felt when you played the final game!
Ooh, That’s a sharp kick in the nuts for ya, huh?

Now I’m not saying that this all down to the voice actors at 4kids, I happen to know a few of them and I really wish people would stop pushing all the blame towards them.
I know the Japanese cast were a lot more fortunate than the American team but in the VO business you need to learn, nothing can always go the way you see it, actors eventually die or quit, it happens!
Budget cuts were the main reason Sonic Team had to drop all their previous actors, it had nothing to do with the popularity of Sonic X, Do you think they would drop such talented actors just to impress such a small majority of new Sonic fans?
No, they hired up 4kids because they couldn’t afford to keep the older actors.
See in the gaming business, if your games don’t sell, you have to make budget cuts or you cant afford to keep the genre going, you lose out, live and learn, its all about appeal, your games don’t appeal to the crowd, no one will be interested, your games wont make you enough money, your in dept to the companies you loaned from, BANG, your big dream is finished!

But back to my topic, people should really stop telling Jason Griffith that Ryan Drummond had more talent or Mike Pollock that Deem Bristow had more enthusiasm, ITS NOT ABOUT THEM! Have you ever watched the Sonic Movie? – Now THAT was bad voice acting!
The games are bad because they’re always aiming towards empty promises and places that just don’t work for Sonic!
Do you all even know what Sonic means?
It means faster than the speed of sound, that’s what Sonic is! But how can Sonic be expected to run so fast with all these shattered obstacles surrounding him like broken glass?
Do any of you even know why Sonics blue and white?
Its because of Sega’s logo, he’s Sega’s mascot, rival to Mario, Nintendo’s mascot, and its high time he started acting like it!
If I was running Sonic Team, I’d be doing things differently, I wouldn’t let this happen, I’d MAKE SURE Sonic stays on track! I’d make sure to listen to what the fans want and not what my balls want when I’m sitting on the toilet! >:(

Now a lot of friends in and out of MySpace keep suggesting that I should be running Sonic Team (smug, lol) but the fact is, why should I? Why shouldn’t they be able to run their own company?
I have my own franchise, I have Katherine and Hippoloid, they’re the ones who have Sonic, they should be keeping him on track!
Yuji Naka should give up his stupid hopes for his ‘PROPE’ company and get back to Sonic Team and straighten his boys all back into shape!
If he doesn’t, or if they can’t sort themselves out, you know what will become of Sonic, don’t you!

The most recent game; "Sonic and The Secret of the Rings" for the Wii was givin a 1 out of 5 from G4 for hard controls but good graphics. The levels where hard to be even lvl 1! But everyone has their own opinion.

You obviously don't see the point. He was refering to how much it's shcnaged that even the Main Foe's name was fucked.

As for the topic, I hated Sonic after it went 3D The first couple of them weren't bad but all in all, they were still fucked.
