lolz to the link... You see, I'm not obsesssed with anime, I like the style, but don't like the actual shows, japanese caligraphy is cool too, and plus, I know that the Japanese are holding out on us when it comes to games (look at the japanese Super Mario bros. 2 (ie Super mario bros: the lost levels, significantly harder than ANY mario game I've ever played) and Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix) What I don't understand is the fact that half of the population is told that people over there (Koreans and Chinese as well) are like, roboticized... how do they become creative enough to create things like Final Fantasy.... of course, if you think about it, They mixed Disney and FF, as well as the fact that Mario is italian plumber (that still really messes with me, I mean, who thinks of this???) But that's just my spiel on games...

Everybody's like "teach your children chinese it's the new world language" but in the meantime they forget the governments plans to take over the world's leading economy countries and force them to speak Dutch.

We're going to take back the glory we had three hundred years ago!

Don't listen to these dipshits, not one of them has the intelligence or the dedication to study another language.

If you're SERIOUS about it, you'll need two things:

The Modern Reader's Japanese- English Character Dictionary by Nelson (published by Tuttle)

and

The Kodansha Japanese-English Dictionary

Also recommended, Martin's Pocket Dictionary E-J, J-E and lots and lots of patience...

O shiawase na!

Douitashimashite, rezic-kun.

Suffixes denote status within society. In brief:

-sama: lord, master, anyone of higher rank than you
-san: sir/madam, mister/missus, anyone of status equal to yours, general polite level
-kun: buddy, chum, "dude", a personal aquaintence, males only
-chan: dear, honey, "little one" used to address girls and all children

Obenkyou shimasu!
