I think you should start over and try some FBF again. A tip I can give you is to draw a new image when you need to... Because of the way your eyes translate information or something technical like that, they can be tricked into seeing things that aren't actually happening. So if a hand is going to come down and grab an object, you first can tween the hand down towards it, FAST, and then on the frame you want it to grab the object, draw the new hand.
Once that is done you add the arm. This can be done in the same way or can be purely FBF, if you want. It doesn't really matter that much if the hand is the point of focus.
That example works for virtually anything you can think of, I just mentioned hands and arms because I was remembering a flash I made in that way. Hope that helps you somewhat, anyway.
