Welcome to the official Sims Lounge!
In this club, you can discuss the award-winning game, The Sims, as well as it's sequel, The Sims 2, along with the many expansions the series has to offer. In-game, you take control of a person (know as a Sim) and his/her life. You can either build a new house, or move into an existing one. Move on in you're Sim's life in a positive or negative fashion. Marry that special Sim, have kids, and send them to school. Help you're Sim thrive in financial and social terms - or give them free will, sit back, and watch them live life by themselves. Some Sims will become successful and go on to live the lavish life, and others will go broke, and possibly get an unwanted visit from the game's antagonist, Death.
Originally made for the PC in 1999, The Sims has since spread to other consoles, such as the PS2, Gamecube, and the GBA. As of January 2007, The Sims has reached the milestone of selling 70 million copies. In addition to that, there are many more exciting features that have been added to the game, available to you when you purchase any of The Sims' expansion packs.
I will lay down a few ground rules for this lounge:
1. No flaming/spamming of any sort. If you have a conflict with another member, take it up via the PM system.
2. Stay on topic. The Sims trilogy has a sequel, and many expansions. It shouldn't be hard to stay on the topic of the game.
3. Most importantly, have fun!
There have been a few Sims Clubs created in the past, but 90% of them had no rules, or effort put forth into them. They are also all dead and inactive, with their most recent posts being in 2004 or 2005. I've gotten permission from Kirk-Cocaine and Maus to create this club and to convert it the 'official' one.
All original NG BBS rules still apply, of course. These are just the ground rules. After many Sims clubs have failed to thrive over the years, I present to you, the official Sims Lounge!
