Rape is much worse than murder.

Rape leaves the child/person suffering for the rest of their lives. Compared to murder, murder would be merciful.

Actually, it is possible to get though being raped. Sure, it sucks really bad, and a lot of people never recover, but, NOBODY recovers from murder.

Were you raped as a child? I doubt it. My mom was. She still deals with it AND SHES FORTY! She has seen several counselers and such, and she lives a normal life, but it still affects her. If A child is rapped, they may NEVER recover, or if they do, not without having missed out a large part of their childhood.

I go to the fourty third 9or so) largest church in America, Lake point church. We a re constantly growing, yet we don't have any crazy evangelistic end-of-the-world-yell-at-people view, Our goal is to spread our faith while helping the world with the mass amounts of money God has blessed us with. We are currently building a community center for a mobile home neighborhood (a very nice community center, not some crappy one) and have over 200 everyday people around the world building home,churches, and other things, giving medical help, running youth camps, and more. so you cant say that a church of a couple million from one area represents all of Christianity. you cant say that since a large group of Christians try and convert people by yelling at them, that this should represent all of Christianity. Just because you hear about some Muslims killing thousands it dosnt mean that all Muslims are killers.

Hate to break this to you guys, but he said sex not rape . Sex is an act of....um....sex. Rape is an act of violence that uses violence to intimidate victims. If someone gets stabbed for no reason, they have no problem reporting it. Rape is a diffrent story.........

yeah but some sins cause greater measurable harm than other sins. In that sense, one sin can be greater than another. And rape can cause quite a bit more harm than murder.

Sexual sin is a very broad term,

As is murder.

Sexual sin can be something as bad as.... Say one person Using they're child as a sex toy every day and no one found out about it untill the kid ran away at the age of 16.

And can be as minor as Smacking a ladies butt when she walks down the hall.

Murder can be as unintentional as not knowing somone was alergic to peanuts and accidentally causing they're death. [Yes, it's death, and it's terrible.]

And as bad as Say... a Genocide.

For the most part; i consider the least evil form of murder to the most evil to be quite worse then the least form of sexual sin to the worst.

That entire post was pretty obvious. What were you saying? Yes, they're vauge terms, but the peanut guy's death was an accident, rather than murder.

Well, having sex outside married sounds like a Christian sin to me, at least from what I hear from Christians. Otherwise, gay sex I'm sure qualifies as a sin too.

Apparently, those things are worse than murder according to that guy.

The thing that wonders me is not that people like that exist, as assholes are everywhere, but that they have so much power and influence. Surely, that cannot come about if all Christians hate them? Or even "almost everybody"?

Drakim you could very well be a minority and not know it, Since we as people are really only able to see a straw sized diameter veiwing of a much larger picture.

For example; untill i was in 6th grade i didn't know that America was founded, and for most of it's history, dominated. I also didn't know how few jews there really were in america for the simple reason that long island has a dense concentration of jews as compard to the rest of america.

Also, the case of Sexual Sin Vs. Murder is in your mind an opposition to the general consensus that murder is worse then An act of ill-repute, so to speak.

But there are many cases of which this does not apply.

A conservative would argue that it's a general consensus that a Criminal's Death is far less of a tragedy of than an Embyro. [Aka; the argument of Abortion Vs. Execution] One of many reasons why the right regaurds the left as insane to think otherwise. "it's blatantly obvious that executing a criminal is less cruel then killing a lifeform who never had the chance to even make a mistake in his/her life.

But you would know better, there are in actuality a sizeable group of people who think that this is completely untrue, it is indeed worse to execute a criminal than it is to kill an embyro, and i think this because A, B, and C.

This is something that you fail to understand; or maybe simply did not consider that There is no such thing as a general consensus in current events politics.

And Drakim, if you need the arguments for both the Sex vs. murder, and Abortion vs. executions and why the 'general consensus' is wrong; i can give you the arguments. [not to say that i am for or against them]

I'm pretty sure that homosexual sex ís defined as a sin, and the act is undoubthfully sexual in nature. If that isn't a sexual sin (according to Christians), then they need to start using another word for rape, like, youknow, rape?
