Okay, here's a preview of the new one I'm working on. A boss from the arcade game Outzone. This is going to take some time to ink for sure. In the full version, it'll also have a technical border on the bottom, as well as the Outzone player dropping from it and shooting it up.

This looks sweet and so do a lot of other entrys,there are a few suck ones but so far this contest is kick ass.

My goodness, this contest never ceases to amaze me!

Well, that's the size I made it as. I'm not too familiar with the contests, but I noticed size was an issue so I wanted to keep it small. Next time around I'll make it larger, but for now I just upscaled that one.

That's definitely what I'm shooting for, so hopefully I can stick with it. I'm dreading certain aspects of it since I'm only armed with a mouse, but if I can get it how I picture it in my head it should look decent.

The Dhalsim turned out pretty good, nice coloring.

I can't tell if the texture on her bra is supposed to be leaves or if it's just all pixelated ( I know its not but it looks like it ).
The interior texture of it says "this is a smooth shiny object" and the outline says "this is made out of grass", so you can work on that.

well you need a few more defining features which really clarifies her as a woman,

as her face as it is now is an almalgamation of male and female facial structure

(in other words add some eyebrows or something, she would look alot better with a definitively slender neck as it looks lackign right now)

and maybe as we are making it next gen sorta thing maybe some nice weapon accentuations and addition.

everyone likes big guns.

Yeah i agree.. she looks very Butch Valentine. I think she feels very wide in the torso and so that makes her feel very football player-like build.

I think her left forearm looks wierd.. it feels like too much muscle.. makes her look like popeye. also add camel toe.

The chin and nose needs to be smaller to look a little more feminine.

There is a good tutorial here . Although the style presented is diferent from what your working with, some important information mentioned does apply.
