Is it pixelated on purpose? Looks pretty accurate otherwise, but somewhat blurry. Lost Vikings was great.

I like it a lot, but some of the shading looks a little strange. Parts of it look like you put the whole thing through an emboss filter, or something. Besides that I think the drawing's awesome.

How are you guys getting the file size to be under 200k? I can't seem to get mine to fit that unless my make it too small to be viewed to it's full potential.

Just be sure to add a lot of unique details to it. A lot of pictures so far have just been blowing up the sprite with sharp outlines. If you add some nice details like in TimFrommeyer's or nathanielmilburn's, it will be cool.

I'm doing another one.. because I've been drawing nothing all this summer and this contest actually moves me to be productive..

So next one up is gonna be metaknight. I'm gonna try making it the sexiest of my submissions. But im done for today..

it looks a little blurry. but i think that is just because of the way you exported it unless you are using like a spray paint brush or something to color it in. maybe add some more crisp shading to make it look cleaner. anyways as of right now good start.

That's indeed a pain in the ass... Try cutting out any empty space in the borders. It worked for me. I was having problems with my Dr. Franken . I had spent a lot of time making lots of details and it wasnt showing very well. So I cut off the borders and scaled down my sprite, and it was sharp enough.
But I'm not an expert and my english sucks... Hope I was useful!

This is my WIP of Commander Keen, any C & C is welcome and would be much help. I'm mainly having trouble with the body proportioning, the sprites legs look like they are in an almost impossible position, so it is coming out odd.

i didnt trace my picture. fine, i may have used most of the outline but that doesnt mean the art is a blatent copy. its not fair to waste a lot of peoples time halfway through. if youre going to delete these so called 'traced' pieces of work, do so starting now not the ones already in place.

im gonna go off now and actually try and get this thing within the new rule
...but fuck you anyway.

you do realise they're the judges dont you? They're not actually wasting yout time by deleting it. If you're so proud of it why not create a separate thread for it and your stuff.
