I honestly think the Wii is a fad. At one point they're going to run out of innovative ways to use it, and once that happens, the gig is up. Because the only thing the Wii has going for it, really, is novelty. Whereas the 360 and PS3 have deeper gameplay and such.

i honestly think wii will win the so called consle war. it has about 7-8 killer games comming b4 christmas and about 50 other mid core games, i love 360 and all but i just think the wii has this gen beat.

I don't think it is a fad. It's just an other way to control whatever you play. I have Red Steel, and aiming with the Wiimote isn't something that will lose its fun. It seems to you that the only games that you will have fun with are M-rated. Not every good game has to have hardcore violence.

First off, there are an infinite number of ways to use the Wiimote-- the producers are just getting started. Second off, the PS3 HAS NO GAMES. They have nothing running for them. All the games are jumping ship. It's rumored that Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be on the Wii (I have no link, but I will try to find one.) The X360 has some things running for it, so those are going to be the two competitors. And another thing--the fact that there's already copious amounts of virtual console games shows just how much people are demanding a Wii. Also, the Wii has sold 7 million now, while the X360 has sold 10.5 Million. The facts speak for themselves.

Please do. It wouldn't surprise me, though. The PS3's sales are lackluster, and a company needs to expand in order to survive. Doesn't mean it won't be for the PS3, however, and God of War 3 should make up for the loss of Kingdom Hearts.

As I said, I believe it to be a FAD. Fads are defined as:
A fashion that is taken up with great enthusiasm for a brief period of time; a craze

Look at it this way, people- Nintendo is not in this console war. They do not have enough resources to commit to destroy Sony and Microsoft, which are huge multi-billion dollar businesses. Microsoft has a corner on the Computer market, and now the gaming market is it's next target. Sony is dabbling in:
TVs, DVDs and Blu-Ray, Cell Phones, Laptops, Speakers...etc. They're branched out so far and so deep that, if NO PS3 consoles sold they would be capable of putting out a PS4. (But, seeing as it is indeed selling, they will not need to suppliment their losses.)

Whereas nintendo has one market- video games, which in and of itself is not the largest market. Compared to the markets that Sony and Microsoft have at their disposal, they're dwarfed.

The Wii was made to capture an untapped market, the moron who has never picked up a controller. It's working. But, how long will it work? Only time will tell...

240 does not make them good. Resistance is a carbon copy of Halo, so don't even try using that as PS3's saving grace. Motorstorm was ok, but that's it. I could drabble on and on and on about the Wii, and it's high-rated games so far.

Everything is a fad--graphics are a fad, for example. It's how it is manipulated and utilized. With that said, the Wii fad could easily last 5 years, and 5 years isn't too long. So by the time the next system is announced, people will be all hyped for that one.

Lol. Not in the console war? What are you crazy? Look, just because they aren't microsoft doesn't mean they're not in it. They don't have to destroy Sony and Microsoft, but they're still in it. Furthermore, Microsoft and Sony both acknowledge Nintendo as a threat, or else they wouldn't be trying to utilize Nintendo's ideas.
