On the other hand, I don't think she was brainwashed.
I believe the most likely thing that happened was that she had the entire sequence of events explained to her, at great detail.

Or maybe she really just doesn't feel like sharing such a traumatic event with the whole world just yet. Ever consider that?

My parents are catholic but niether of them go to church anymore or take me, as a kid I never cared much for religion. My reasons for not being Catholic come from what I know of history while yours are mostly just coming from angst.

...Jessica Lynch is a case we're not going to hear the full story on for a long time to come. There has been something fishy about it since the beginning, and it's only a matter of time until we find out just what that fishy thing was. And it wasn't Jessica. Mwaha.

I think this thing with Jessica Lynch is very similar to the movie Enemy at the Gates. I'm sure there's some truth to what we heard about what happened to her. How much truth? Who's to say? The war ended really fast but I'm sure that if the war had stretched on long enough we would have eventually heard stories of her taking down the Iraqis a dozen at a time with bolts of lightning from her eyes and balls of fire from her arse.

Sorry about all the movie references. I don't get out much.

To summarise, Lynch is just a 20 year old Army supply clerk, who allegedly held off enemies while her comrades retreated with a gun, taking down several. She was then captured and taken to hospital, but slapped and sustained gunshot/knife wounds. The army later staged a dramatic rescue in the hospital (guns firing and all, Black Hawk Down "go go go" style) which apparently offered no resistance.

I keep hearing and reading things that are quite interesting about her. First there sthe "Ranbo" heroics when she was ambused then she was shot and stabed when she was captuered. But I keep seeing stuff about her not having any such wounds whats so even. Even from the ambush. I also heard (but am not fully beleiving) that the maries that saved her used blanks to attack. this would of pumped up the "looks" of the fight but no one would be hurt. I doubt this on becuase no half-ass leader would send in any one into a hot zone with blanks. It is supported however by the fact that noone in the hospital was so much as hurt by bullets. Quite interesting considering the firepower blasting it. Lastly theres reports about there being no enemy troops in the hospital at the time because they fleed days before. Yet the U.S still used a overpowering force to capture a defenselss building?

That's also part of what I heard, and am hearing as time goes on. Very suspicious. I bet they're pumping "facts" into her right now, so she can tell it to the public.

Anyway. Its odd how the story kept changing. First she was tortured and they broke her bones to get her to talk. Then her bones were broken in the fight, now they are just broken. Odd that she hasn't said a word to anyone, but all this information has been out and changed so soon. She must not be able to remember the story they told her to tell after she got back yet.
