I haven't been to the Art Forum much and it seems that most people just draw cartoons and and anime (not to be disrispectful, some of them are VERY good). But Is there anyone here who draws or paints not with Photoshop or MS Paint, but with real media? Anyway, here's a duck I drew in Colored pencil. Took me about 3 hours. (Yes that is how long real art should take!) I took the photo with my cell phone so it's really shitty. But I'm too lazy to take it with a digital camera because both my cell phone and my computer have bluetooth and I can upload really quickly. (Wait, I can spend 3 hours drawing and I'm too lazy to plug a camera into my computer?) Post your serious art here (no quick sketches, unless they're good). I'm fully expecting some shitty MS Paint with a sarcastic, "Is this good enough?" Well, whatever. Anyway, DUCKIE!!

That’s a good duck. I must say. You do have talent.

I believe that you drew it, and it's good, but it would have been easy to Photoshop that note on there.

I don't think anyone doubts you.

I did this a few months ago. It got ESD 101 1st place (which doesn't really mean anything). I couldn't scan it because it's 3 feet tall.

Thanks, I get it from my mom, because she's an artist. She paints a lot, and she's really good, but she never sells anything. :/ Also I've been taking art in school. This is probalbly one of the best things I've done, though.

Before I'm told, and so that you know I know, I understand that this picture is physically impossible. I was drawing really close up, misinterpreted a sketch mark I made, and I realized when it was too late.

I have a portfolio full of giant weird paintings done in tempera, acrylic, and watercolors.

If someone could say....buy me a massive scanner the size of a Volkswagen beetle....I might be able to post them. :C

I like your stuff. Just take a giant picture.

That got me thinking... how did they get the photos of the Sistine Chapel so nicely? They're gigantic, they're concave, and they're like a mile high up. That must have been expensive.

I just made a topic where I made a rose from Acryllic paints, but I would show my other works on this topic too

but how do you upload huge images like that ???

while I find the thread, and the creator of this thread in desperate need of a humility pill, I'll take it that all he meant was he wanted to see non-digital art.

anyways this is super duper old, I painted this in my apt studio some years back.

How is Photoshop (or any other digital media) not real media?

You seem very sure of yourself, even though your picture isnt massively fantastic.

Anyway, I stopped drawing on paper ages ago, but check this guys work out, I really love it, I think its more a hybrid of traditional art and photoshop, but im not sure.

I 'think' what they did is just took a bunch of pictures and stitched them together (not literally). And you're right, it's absolutely gigantic (and you're not allowed to take pictures either.... they force you to buy a picture at the gift shop for about 5000000000000000 euro) It's a beatiful place to go though, I highly recomend it :D

As for traditional art, I'm better with that than most digital art, for example, I did this in a plain ole black ball point pen that I got at walmart at the cheapest price... since I'm not made of money :P

I thought that was on purpose, because that is one of the things that makes the picture awesome.
Seriously, I <3 the impossibility.

Hmmm.. Had to bust out the old portfolio for this thread.

And I stress "old"

I do digital now, but majority of it is hand drawn first anyway.

All of this is drawn from national geographic magazine pictures, or national something.. I can't remember.

Here's an unfinished painting I'm working on. I did it for art class and the project was to paint a memory that you had. This is when I was in Yellowstone and I was stuck in traffic because a bunch of buffalo were on the road. I did it from a picture and it looks exactly like it. I can't get motivated to finish it though.

Yes, my first post made me sound like a huge prick, but I made it in the middle of the night, and I must have been in a weird mood.

Oh, again, this is a bad photo because the digital camera wouldn't upload for some reason. So this is taken with my cell phone. The painting's 18x24 I think.
