I would go for Hillary, but it Gore changes his mind, I'd vote Al Gore.
Other than Hillary, I would just go for whoever the democratic party nominates.

Why Hillary? Why not Obama? Hillary is going to ruin this country if she is elected. And no it has nothing to do with the fact that she is a women. It because she is a fucking socialist. At least Obama is not as far to the left as she is.

Ron Paul or nothin.
The thing about giuliani, his foriegn policy (bad spelling maybe sorry) is wack.
Its basically the same as bush's view on it. A vote for him is the same as a vote for bush a third term.

Our foreign policy is telling foreign nations to shut the fuck up. Why? Because I find it ironic that so many nations who complain about the US meddling in other people's business are, themselves, meddling in the business of the US.
Even still, their foreign policy is almost a mirror to the US today.

well, if we had better foreign policy, by setting a good example instead of being the bullies of the world, then maybe they would stay out of our business.

How the fuck is the US bullying anyone?
We forgive debts.
We give the most aid.
We make up most of the UN budget AND military force.
The UN is using American money to buy and ship anti-American propaganda to North Korea.
What the hell are we doing to anyone?

I agree that the U.S. does a lot more good things than many people give it credit for outside of our country, but I'd like to see some evidence on the U.N. shipping anti-American propaganda to North Korea thing.
However a lot of us Americans don't know some of the more shady things the CIA has done in our name, and that is probably one of the big reasons we are hated in some places. The CIA itself just released a report about that.
Still, all the people who try to pretend that the U.S. is the worst country in the world don't seem to be realizing how much good the U.S. does and how terrible the governments of many other countries are.
As for Ron Paul being elected, I hear he's very opposed to the United Nations... and I really don't think that's what this country or the world needs right now. We've already damaged our relationship with our main allies enough, what we need right now is to strengthen those ties.

Gee, Who'd have thought that the CIA did anything like that at all.

Strengthen them, how?
Abiding by their every will?

Strengthen them by not pissing them off at every given opportunity, by showing them we're sick of Bush and his ilk, and generally not being a dick. Oh, and certainly by not claiming you want to abolish the U.N. It just seems to me that if Ron Paul is elected, although he won't be as interventionist as Bush has been, he'll be noninterventionist to the point where he won't want to cooperate with our allies (NATO and the like) when it's appropriate. Also, it's not just Europe, we've got Australia, Israel, South Korea, New Zealand and Canada as traditional allies, though (to a lesser extent with Israel, possibly) since Bush was elected him and his administration have managed to really screw that up. We need strong allies because of the way Russia is going; the country is centralizing power and becoming more and more like the former Soviet Union. And in the meantime China is just growing stronger and stronger in the background; India is getting bigger and bigger economically, but I don't think they're really as much of a threat, they're not virulently anti-capitalist like China. Either way, we have a good case for not pissing our international NATO (and the like) friends off. I'm not saying we should cowtow to whatever they want but I am saying that we shouldn't try to make what Bush has done to our international relations any worse.

Come up with some serious discussion in this thread or let it drop off the front page. If not, I will locky lock! <3 :)
I want darth vader to run for president, the united states need's a horde of weak stormtrooper infantry to storm the middle east and bring order to the rebellion, then he could use the darkside to kill the foes who run and flee like osama!

If we leave the UN how will that piss of our allies? Just because we leave the UN, not like we listen to them anyways, doesn't mean we will piss them off. We can still be a part of NATO if we leave the UN. And SEATO as well. And besides if Russia and China are becoming that big of a threat why not pull all our troops into our borders and bulster our defenses. If we do that not only we can end the war in Iraq we can also secure our borders. And besides those orginaziations where created to combat communism. The whole point of NATO was to have a bunch of country allied together if case of a russian invation of west germany. SEATO is the same principal but I can see where it is still relavent today with china and north korea. But he,Ron Paul, would be a good persident for other things. Like getting rid of unuseful angenices like the FCC. I am not voting for him for his foreign plan, but because he wants to downsize the government and go back to the ways this country was before LBJ and his great society.

Ok.
First off. Tell me how we're pissing them off.
Oh, and certainly by not claiming you want to abolish the U.N.
Right now the UN is about as functional as the League of Nations after WWI. And we all know how that turned out.
Also, it's not just Europe, we've got Australia, Israel, South Korea, New Zealand and Canada as traditional allies, though (to a lesser extent with Israel, possibly) since Bush was elected him and his administration have managed to really screw that up.
I'm not talking about them.
But think about it for a second.
Israel?
Israel is pissed because we don't do more to help. The people of America would be pissed (all thanks to the media) if we did do more to help.
Canada and Australia, I have no idea what they could possibley be mad about.
So far the only thing I see people pissed about is Iraq. However, what they all refuse to acknowledge is that the US went in larged based off of BRITISH intelligence and they all followed along and are now choosing the US as their own scapegoat to avoid blame.
This is largely done in Europe.
We need strong allies because of the way Russia is going; the country is centralizing power and becoming more and more like the former Soviet Union.
They're just threats. They really can't do anything.
And in the meantime China is just growing stronger and stronger in the background; India is getting bigger and bigger economically,
Well, we can think the enviornmentalist for halting our economic progress.
I'm not saying we should cowtow to whatever they want but I am saying that we shouldn't try to make what Bush has done to our international relations any worse.
Technically Bush hasn't done a thing to piss them off. They want more from the US while the US is fighting basically 2 wars at once. And they're also pissed off at one of the wars because they blame the US for getting them invovled despite them following their own information and making the decision to invade anyway.

Unless he installs some kind of dictatorship or monarchy he will be done in about a year. This of course would never happen because everyone in the U.S. would revolt and overthrow the government.
