It's Vietnam all over again. Seems fishy, and reminds me of how in vietnam the usa would just go for body counts and claim that "everyone" in the villages they attacked and bombed were actually members of the vietcong.

Um... US forces engaged gun-wielding men who were entering a village, while US forces were in coordination with Iraqi forces. There is no way to even determine who they were and what they were doing now that they were blown to pieces.

Such is war. But I fund it funny, the way BBC spun it, nothing less could be expected from them.

you mean Vietnam and Iraq are the only wars where civilians have been killed and the side who did it attempted to cover it up?

How is it murder when they killed people who were armed with guns and were acting suspicious? You think that US forces would have deliberately killed innocent people, thus taking attention away from the enemy, just for shits and giggles?

You get more stupid every fucking post you make.

Why is it every post you make completely one sided, War Sucks Bad shit happens, People carrying AK-47'S sometimes get shot. but you even trying to imply that it is the Goal of the US MILITARY to simply get body counts shows how completely stupid you are. this is a war that has to be won both by defeating the enemy, and inflicting as much damage as possible as possible to them, but also by protecting the civilian population, and keeping them on our side, the military leaders, know how important the general population mindset is to helping us.

Great now you are defending a troll , by attacking my Grammar, I take it then that every post you have ever written is flawless in its entirety. A perfect example of the English language in fact your posts must be poetry in the written word by your standards .You have touched me I will from now on try and live up to your gleaming perfection in penmanship, in fact in my spare time I will go through your previous posts and try and learn from your masterpieces.

Also if it is not to much to ask would you do me the honor of tutoring me I am fully aware that I am unworthy to be your apprentice but it would mean so much to one day say I was taught by the Best.

Well, here we have some irony. Aren't you the one who accused me mere days (day?) ago that I twist the words of other people to my will? And yet, there you go, doing exactly what you accused ME of doing. I don't agree with the topic starter, and your insinuation that I did stems from your complete partisanship, and fundamental need to polarize every issue to the greatest degree that is humanly possible. Well, congrats, because you've done it again. I mentioned nothing at all about the topic itself actually—merely the irony that a person whose grammar is (often, I must admit) unintelligible to the point of incredulity, instructs someone that they seem to be 13 years old, based on the content of their posts. Talk about the blind leading the blind.

Why not?

Tell me.

If a white supremacist started making speeches to take back this country away from blacks, and someone else insults that person's intelligence while making slight grammar mistakes, would you then bash the person who insulted the white supremacist?

So that either leads to 2 conclusions. 1) You agree with the supremacist. 2) You bash him because you disagree with him on an entirely seperate issue.

Which is it?

I don't agree with the topic starter, and your insinuation that I did stems from your complete partisanship, and fundamental need to polarize every issue to the greatest degree that is humanly possible.

If you say so.

Which brings me back to the white supremacist. The other outcome is that you would say nothing at all because of how people would view you. Of course, you would bash the person with grammar mistakes because you are on the internet where no one can get to you directly.

Ah, so you admit that you enjoy twisting words. How the tables have turned.

And yet, there you go, doing exactly what you accused ME of doing.
Tell me.

I believe I already have done that, if you'd bothered to read the following paragraph.

If a white supremacist started making speeches to take back this country away from blacks, and someone else insults that person's intelligence while making slight grammar mistakes, would you then bash the person who insulted the white supremacist?

I would hardly call the grammar mistakes slight. Near illegibility is a problem, and makes reading posts incredibly difficult. Painstakingly hard to slug your way through. I've noticed this for months, but only now do I speak out, as the problem worsens detectably. When I read his posts, I honestly think of him as a fourteen year old kid, and I have to slap myself in order to come into the realization that he could possibly have done service in the military.

So that either leads to 2 conclusions. 1) You agree with the supremacist. 2) You bash him because you disagree with him on an entirely seperate issue.

Which is it?

3) None of the above. I'm complaining about something that can easily, EASILY be fixed, if even a minute amount of effort were to be applied to the task at hand. Firefox even has a built-in spellchecker. There should not be grammar mistakes so significant that its painful to read, capische?

I don't agree with the topic starter, and your insinuation that I did stems from your complete partisanship, and fundamental need to polarize every issue to the greatest degree that is humanly possible.
If you say so.

Yeah, I do. And you're doing it once again.

Well, congrats, because you've done it again. I mentioned nothing at all about the topic itself actually—merely the irony that a person whose grammar is (often, I must admit) unintelligible to the point of incredulity, instructs someone that they seem to be 13 years old, based on the content of their posts. Ehh... What does that even mean? Of course I'm going to say something if it bothers me. I was polite enough to keep quiet for months before confronting the issue. Now that I have, you jump down my throat, and try to link it to a troll's harsh words. Also, don't draw analogies anymore. You're not very good at that.

Of course, you would bash the person with grammar mistakes because you are on the internet where no one can get to you directly.

If someone had a speech impediment, I would leave them alone about it, because it's probably genetic. When someone is an inept typer, it's not a genetic condition, just laziness. Especially when there's a myriad of tools available for public use (Hint: Firefox = included spellchecker) to that effect.

It means that if something like this happend on the streets, you wouldn't bother correcting the person who insulted the white supremacist because people would view you as defending him.

2 words: General Forum.

5 words: This is the Politics Forum.

You're held to a higher standard here, and you're more accountable for your actions as a user.

3) There should not be grammar mistakes so significant that its painful to read, capische?

That's funny. I ALWAYS do that. Every post I make. You should try it sometime.

How could "something like this" happen on the streets? We don't use keyboards when we're strolling downtown. At least, I don't.

Bla bla bla. White supremacy =/= bad grammar.

Actually would you mind pointing out all the words I misspelled? because ACORDING TO YOU HOW SOMETHING IS SPELLED IS FAR MORE IMPORTAINT THAN WHAT THEY WERE IMPLYING IN THE FIRST PLACE. give me a number and the words I misspelled.

Also it sickens me you would defend a person who continuously make comments about our troops, he does not make comments about political views, but instead attacks guys who are doing there jobs. Ok.

There shouldn't be a comma after the word "here".

How could "something like this" happen on the streets? We don't use keyboards when we're strolling downtown. At least, I don't.

The space bar is suppose to be tapped twice after a period.

No one said it did.

You also introduced the word "down" and "throat" after "jumping".

It's not the spellings, but the terrible grammar to which I take issue. If you'd like, I can point out every mistake, but that would be a bit redundant, now wouldn't it? Especially considering I just finished a long argument with Techware about how you could avoid such egregious lapses of grammatical prowess.

Also it sickens me you would defend a person who continuously make comments about our troops, he does not make comments about political views, but instead attacks guys who are doing there jobs. Feeling a little thick-headed today? If you'd bothered to read the thread, perhaps you'd know that I wasn't defending him; I was criticizing you. His opinion matters little to me, as it should to you as well. He is a troll, as are many others.

You know, Memorize, Bolo, and Ravariel, I could have sworn this thread was about comparing Vietnam to Iraq, but yeah, a completely pointless debate about grammar is perfectly fine too. I mean, seriously, can't you just use PM's for this kind of shit instead of clogging up threads as if they were a fat guy's arteries?

Let us examine Microsoft word to find the answer to this conundrum.

If you place two spaces after a full stop ( period) there is no typographical error highlighted. The same is true of a single space, therefore negating it being a rule of typing as both are acceptable.
