Its awful stuff. I was recently taken off of it because it was destroying my liver. I take it for my extreme ADD. I am for outlawing the stuff simply because "moderate liver damage" was not a listed side effect.
Whatever just my two cents... as well as my liver

Well maybe so, but I think I heard somewhere that drugs make you cool as well as solve all your problems... maybe that was on CNN or something I forgot. Short term memory loss y'know.

I'm sure no one was out to destroy your liver, but, if you ask me, the whole idea of behavioral drug treatment unnerves me.
In order to steer this topic into a broader area, I gotta ask, to no person in particular:
When did we get so many "disorders" in the world?
It seems that we have more and more "errant" behavior being described as diseases these days, in need of therapy or drug treatment. If I'm wrong, point it out, but it seems that as recently as 1990 we didn't have such a culture devoted to drugs and psychotherapy for those who didn't fit into social norms.
I won't deny that there are some legitimate mental disorders (depression, "panic attack" anxiety, psychosis, etc.), but haven't we gone just a tad bit overboard these days with this whole concept of "behavioral medicine"? Dammit, you can only be so picky about the way people act... just LIVE with the people, and don't shove any of those pills down their throats! I simply can't believe that all the risks we take with these drugs are worth it.

Gleanerizer: You're a voice of reason in a sea of idiocy.
I too wonder when society became so fucking weak and good at passing the buck. No one wants to take responsibility anymore. The individuals themselves don't want to just behave or stop being so piss weak. Parents, teachers and the government too. It's far easier to medicate (maybe there are bick kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies, but I personally blame psychologists and teachers for all this "touchy feely" shit). It worries me though that by the time the people my age (because I think we (not me though) were at the beginning of this cycle) are the majority of adults in our society, society will be too far gone. I think this is just one more area in which the shit is heading towards the fan for western society.
