She Bangs the Drums by The Stone Roses will be in the game.
The Poison and Bret Michaels songs are still under speculation. So don't go confirming those as real.

As much as I love MSI, I still think that's a poor song choice. It'll be way too easy to play, they should have chosen Molly or Stupid MF.

Hmm, usually if they put it on the Wiki and it is there for more than a day, it's legit.

Also, according to the Wiki article...
An interview with RedOctane's co-founder Charles Huang on Guitar Hero III suggests that they are "hoping to really bring the experience to the DS and to do some very, very different approaches" and were "working through a lot of engineering issues with Nintendo."

Well I'll be damned.
The Bret Michaels being a singer thing is real.
He'll only be a singer in the two songs that involve him.
I'm amazed at how many people are going crazy over this... if you actually play the game for real, then you'll barely notice him.

Black Magic Woman - Santana

Bunch of new songs by European artists have been announced for the game... and despite a shitty rumor of them being in "overseas" versions. They will be in every version of the game. As Bonus Songs.
Minus Celsius by Backyard Babies
I'm in the Band by the Hellacopters
Take This Life by In Flames
Hier Kommt Alex by Die Toten Hosen
In the Belly of a Shark by Gallows
Avalancha by Heroes Del Silencio
Ruby by Kaiser Chiefs
Closer by Lacuna Coil
Generation Rock by Revolverhead
Mauvais Garcon by Nast
Radio Song by Superbus
This brings the total number of songs to 44.

Just in case nobody has seen it yet, here is what the guitars will look like for each system.
This is the order they come in, 360, Wii, PS3 then PS2.
Personnaly I think the PS2's version is the coolest looking. Also, they're all wireless.

Also, again, Slash is a boss because of not only his influence on today's rock scene, he is a part of today's rock scene, as well as yesterday's. He's also very distinguishable, unlike most other guitarists. Think about it, there isn't very many guitarists you'd know automatically, just by looking at a video game version of them. Slash has the hair, shades, and hat, that makes you know it's him.
Slash is a major mainstream influence. I understand that but the guitarists I've mentioned are even greater influences. Very many of the great guitarists list both joe satriani and steve vai as their greatest influences. They're in a parallel universe where true music lives.
More proof that slash isn't as legendary as the mentioned guitarists. He has a signature amp and guitar. Joe satriani and steve vai both have a signature amp and signature guitar (steve vai making the 7 string mega popular and celebrating his jem 20th) which have been in production for 20 years, signature pickups, signature pedals, signature straps, picks.
Not picking a fight at all (which you clearly weren't trying to do) but the mentioned guitarist have created a whole genre and are the greatest influences to the world of guitar. They are the true inovators. If the bosses are only hendrix or slash and shit like that, I'm ok with that because true music won't be ruined by little MTV whores. I only used joe satch and vai as examples but what about john petrucci, Yngwie malmsteen (who pretty much created shred metal) and those people? If they aren't included the world of guitar may be saved or ruined.

Hey, I know that Vai and all those others are amazing. Some of the best out there, but my point is the target audience of the GH series won't know those guys.I would love to see Vai in the game, but it most likely wouldn't happen.

A demo for the game will be available for those who purchase Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.
This will only work on the 360 version though.
If you don't want another Tony Hawk game, it will arrive on the Marketplace shortly after THPG comes out... October 9th.
The songs in this demo include four announced ones and a new song.
Lay Down by Priestess
Evenflow by Pearl Jam
The Metal by Tenacious D
Rock You Like a Hurricane as made famous by Scorpions
The new song is...
Hit Me With Your Best Shot as made famous by Pat Benatar
Indicated by the "as made famous by" this is a cover. So sorry Benatar fans... all three of you.

According to a video preview from GamePro. Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave will be a Guitar Boss.
Usually GamePro hasn't been very truthful but I trust this if it's a video. Somehow I do.

It dosn't look that hard, if you can beat any of the Guitar Hero games on Expert, then this should be a piece of cake. Songs like Jordan are much harder then that.

Yes, you can use old PS2/360 GH guitars, seeing as how the game can be bought by itself, as opposed to being packaged with the guitar.
