Yeah, well Willie Dixon's "You Need Love" (which was covered by The Small Faces,) is pretty much where Plant nicked his lyrics for "Whole Lotta Love" from (without any credit to Dixon either I might add.) Same story with "The Lemon Song" which takes heavily off Howlin Wolf's "Killing Floor."

Yeah, my dad told me that they did a lot of that stuff but I didn't believe him. I guess he did his research, eh?

Not really, it just takes a reasonable knowledge of your classic blues songwriters.

I dunno. Try a "greatest hits" album, I'm sure it would be on it.

Yeah, he has a long career spanning 30 years or something. Some other hits of his are Turn The Page, Night Moves, and Like A Rock.

I listen to a lot of underground and rare stuff from the 60s-70s era, so I'll just name a few of the more known bands I like.
1. Cream 2. Pink Floyd (The Syd Barrett era) 3. The Beatles 4. Led Zeppelin 5. Blue Cheer
Oh, and for anyone else who likes hard to find and almost unheard of yet good music from the same eras, you can actually find them pretty easily to download if you look through blogger and what not. Hate to sound like I'm advertising anyone, but look up chrisgoesrock. That dude up loads a lot of rare and often well known stuff!

If I had to name my top 5 favorite rock bands, I'd have to pick:
1. Rush 2. Pink Floyd 3. Metallica 4. Iron Maiden 5. Megadeth
I know there are many other great rock bands, but these 5 are on my top listen-to-daily list :P

Care to elaborate on what "underground" music you listen to? I'm sure someone in here has heard of something of yours.
Also, Spoon. Strange band, eh?

It's one of my favorites. I have a pretty broad musical taste across lots of genres too, but classic rock is pretty awesome. Also, I'm going to see Ted Nugent on July 21st. It'll be awesome. I hope they have t-shirts or some kind of souvenier for my first concert.

I might be going to see Motorhead. And maybe Funkadelic too.

I'm going to see Ted Nugent live in Des Moines on the 21st. It'll be my first concert EVER, I'm really excited. I told my mom about it more than a month ago and she still hasn't ordered the tickets yet though.
