Do you think there are any hopes of finding him now? Now that the situation in the Gaza Strip is next from hell, do you think it could improve in the near future?
There is a chance, but it has been 100 days now.
Hes more important than that missing girl (GET OFF THE NEWS COZ I AM SO ANNOYED)

You mean the missing girl they just found dead, and are going to be charging her boyfriend (who is already married to someone else) with double homicide?
Yeah, good luck trying to get around THAT media circus.

Hamas said they were negotiating to get him released (which would explain the sudden pro-Hamas stance from the BBC last weekend, until they decided to support Fatah instead...), so the odds are it involves a lot of haggling.

OK, why do I always seem to be a harbinger of doom - he was allegedly seen on film yesterday wearing a bomb belt, as opposed to the orange jumpsuit he's been seen wearing in videos released previously.
You think this could possibly be connected for the BBC doing a 180 and adopting a pro-Fatah stance in the past few days?

Good news - he was released this morning. Does this mean the BBC will now have a pro-Hamas slant on their Gaza coverage again?

Thats good news, the guy was just doing his job to begin with. It was even more strange because it seemed that he was respected in the community he worked. In regards to the BBc's relation with Hamas, i am unsure. Me thinks they'll slowly try to forget this incident.

It's good to hear he is safe, though things like "Journalist of the Year" were a bit far in my opinion. I have no idea what BBC will do now. It's likely they just won't mention it again.

They'd better be pro-Fatah...it would be silly of them to go pro-Hamas, despite the Alan Johnston release.

They've been both already - three weekends ago they were pro-Hamas (seemingly based on them being the Government, going against a lot of their prior reporting), then they went pro-Fatah...there's a slight difference between glory-seeking between Manchester United and Chelsea and switching bias in reporting. As Johnson is free, as a result of Hamas' actions, they may well switch back to Hamas for now.
