seeing as drawing with a marker is very final... do you draw with pencil first and then go over it? or do you just draw and figure out how to cover up any mistakes that you might make?

Actually, I tend to just put it together like a puzzle. Anything I draw I make it work with any idea that comes up while drawing. I don't really like covering anything up so I try my best to make it all fit.
When I have a set idea I usually do pencil then graphite then pen or whatever I am using as the main material, but for these I have strictly used marker.
I enjoy starting out with something simple and figuring out what ideas come up later.
I drew this last night around 2 in the morning. Fine point sharpie used.

Is it just me... or does this look like a tripped out tattoo gun minus the needles?

Seems as my sharpies have died on me. I am stuck using what I have always been a little better with. Pencil.
Anyways, heres another. If you can't tell what it is, its an older man.

Looks like hitler man!
Im sorry everyone about the lack of constant posts. I have all the free time in the world right now, but it seems as if my motivation level is down. Again, this is not an actual Sharpie drawing, but its something.
ChrisOrosco, yours are pretty amazing. They are so clean and stylized.

Thank you very much. I enjoy comments such like the ones I have been getting, but then again...who doesn't, you know? :)
And Memory, its sometimes not the quality of the work but the thought that went into it. I am sure if your camera was not so bad we could find good things to say about it.

Very interesting. Not a big fan of "drug" art, but I am guessing you had something on your mind at the time. Heh.
Well, after a very long time from drawing or doing anything with my drawing, I have received my very first Wacom board and am more happy than ever. Now, with the shortage of computer paper and my scanner/printer dead, I can have an endless supply of paper and create plenty of images that have been haunting my head to be ripped out.
This is my first test of sensitivity of my board and just attempting to really concentrate on how different but similar the methods were. I hope you enjoy it.....it really isn't much, but it sure is something new for me.
I focused on the shades and adding a three dimension to the eyes.
