CrazyMonkeyGames +++++

I actually had extensive dealing between ArmorGames, ArcadeTown, CrazyMonkey and Kongregate as I was deciding who to sponsor Asteroids Revenge III with. It came down to CrazyMonkey and Armor who both had outstanding offer and I had extensive dealings with both of them. I had a hard time deciding and they agreed that we could do the final decision by having them both play the game and then me go with whoever got the highest score. I thought that was a fitting end. :)

Seriousness +++++
John was very serious from the start. I approached him after I already had a few smaller offers and his much larger initial offer put the bidding into a whole new range.

Money +++++
Flash games can definitely get a decent amount of money! I won't go into specific details but it was well over the $100-$1000 that most people associate as the "flash sponsorship range"

Efficiency ++++
John has a life and a family... and isn't on the computer 24/7 (the nerve). It would usually take a day or two to get a response to my emails... and never on the weekend.

Social +++++
A truly great guy. Very honest and sincere. You will quickly get this impression of him if you speak a few times.

This was my first sponsorship experience but I spent a tremendous amount of time making sure I did it right and finding the best deal for my "baby". I'm actually compiling all the information and research I did into a nice "Should you sponsor? If so here the best way to do it" website and I'll drop a post here once its done.

Yeah, Crazy Monkey Games is one of the ones that'll give you a boatload of money if your game is very high quality, like yours. You can definitely tell you spend a lot of time on it, and it payed off. Literally :P. Loved it by the way.

I have a few smaller games I'm trying to get sponsored right now. I'm currently working on two higher quality projects which, hopefully, will garner as much money as the big guys get. Here's hoping.

Mofunzone.com +++++
Game: Project Validus: Survival

Seriousness +++
Serious enough, but not too serious. Personally I don't think 5/5 for seriousness is a good thing :P
You set the standard for seriousness though, if you want to act like a robot, I'm sure Mo would oblige.

Money +++++
Payment is definatly Mo's trump card, he pays promtly and generously.

Efficiency +++++
Mo's ready when you are. Easily contactable by both email and IM.

Social ++++
He'll chew the fat with you over an E-beer in the afternoon, I'll put it that way.
Probably the friendliest sponsor that I've contacted.

Yeah that'd be pretty cool. Let me just add to the Armor Games on right now, since I'm here anyways. I think that AG is probably one of if not the best sponsor for large games. Dan makes everything really easy for people and goes tries the best he can to help you all out.

That's a great idea, you should catogorize the table into "good" "best" "worst" etc. sponsors, so that people will quickly identify good sponsors.

They didn't reply to me until after the deal was closed with Hallpass, and when I told them that it was already taken they asked me if I could make a version with a different name so that they could sponsor it?! Of course this was not an option as it would be very unfair on Hallpass, and this combined with the things said about them a couple of posts above this one (and also the ugly and loud logo they use) makes sure that they will never sponsor any of my games.

Be glad you didnt get sponsored in time. If you read my post, youde know how bad of a sponsor freeonlinegames it. The took the swf, changed the name, Music, graphics, menu, background, highscores, MADE IT SO YOU COULDNT HOST IT ANYWHERE BUT THEIR SITE, said they made it, and we designed it, and plastered there logo EVERYWHERE (litterally, it was branded at the bottem of the screen even, so you saw it on every frame.
Consider yourself lucky :P

well im going to have the sponsors cotnact info but tthe good bad ting will be hard because everyone says theirs is good, so i might not do that. anyway, im working on filemaker pro, but since my trial runs out in 22days i will be using excel for everyone to see.

CrazyMonkeyGames +++++
The game i got sponsered by crazy monkey games was Nudge. you can see it here
Although i got lots of offers for my game CrazyMonkey games blew me away.

Seriousness ++++
John was very serious the whole way through. He took everything in his stride and showed exceptional experience when he helped me with my problems that i had.

Money +++++
Like Adam i got a significant amount of money. I wont go into details but like him i got over $1000 usd for the game

Efficiency +++
This is the only fault that CrazyMonkeyGames had. It initially took roughly two weeks for them to reply to my first email and 1-2 days with replies. But that may have also because i live in australia and the different time zones probably made the experience alot harder

Social +++++
John was easy to speak to. Although we only spoke about the game i felt like the kind of guy i could be friends with, as it felt you could tell him anything. Its this personal factor that i believe added to my positive experience

all in all my experience with crazymonkeygames although testing at times certainly paid off in the end. all ive got to say is have patience when your dealing with them

This have been brought up earlier, and I figured that I would make something like that once I get my own webspace. However, I don't think that I will have time now that school has started again and as I will start a gaming site with two friends in the near future (if it goes well we might sponsor games :D) I don't think that I am the right person to do this anyway. So you are very welcome to do this :)

I realize now that I have yet to write a review for Hallpass who sponsored my last game, I will do that in just a minute.

Hallpass +++++
The game sponsored was Astrum, which I made with the same two friends that I will start the site with (above).

Seriousness +++++
As Chrispington mentioned, a 5/5 in seriousness might not be only good, maybe I should have named it 'Reliability' or something instead. Anyhow, I'm giving Hallpass five pluses in this category and that is meant to be in an all good way ;)

Money +++++
I was first thinking of giving HP a 4 in this category, as I had seen worse games get better paid, but I think that if other sponsors had given better offers Hallpass wouldn't hesitate to give us more.

Efficiency ++++
Sometimes it will take a while to get answered by email (this is partly due to the time differences though) but otherwise I can't find nothing to complain about Hallpass when it comes to being efficient. They will often give you a really good offer just so that you can settle the deal as soon as possible :)

Social +++++
If I've gotten this right there are two persons at HP who you might be talking to, during our negotiations I spoke to Rhys who is a very nice guy and I still have him on my MSN contacts.

I'm sorry for not developing my thoughts further, I should've done this review earlier, it was a few weeks ago and I don't remember all the details.

Or rather, they've said yes, but I'm waiting for them to reply to my other email :P.

Any idea how long it might take for them to respond? xP

Don't know really, I always got replies from them in less than a day, often in just a few hours.

Heh, I sent them another 2 days ago xP, still no answer.

I've read through the thread, some other people were waiting a while for a response.

I can wait, if they're not responding at all, I guess I'll try a different sponsor D:.

Sorry guys if I sound like a fucktard asking this. But does Kongregate sponsor any games? I couldn't really tell. If so, do they do it for a good price or not really. It looks like they have really high quality games most of the time.
